I know you get what you pay for. Bu how horrible are they? After a bit of work, shouldn't they fit and look like any of the other kits out there? I'm kind of liking the GTR kit like this one. Body Kit Link (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/95-99-NISSAN-240SX-S14-BODY-KIT-GTR-FRONT-BUMPER_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ36475QQitemZ8060 158021QQrdZ1) I see them go for as low as $9.99 and as high as $200, shipping around the same at $150. What gives with the uber cheap ones?

They make thier money back in bloated shipping costs. I've heard fist hand accounts of a body shop having to cut one of those bumpers 8 times to make it come close to fitting.

That should explain enough to you that you wouldn't want to buy a kit off of Ebay...save your money and do it right the first time, or else you just end up paying for it in the end at the body shop...
if you can sand and fit your own stuff and dont care about build quality, only then you should get a knockoff kit.

the seller www_nsptuner_com stuff is good, thats my partial sponser, but fitment is good. just trimming of fiberglass, drill holes, and bam it mounts up. I got complete front, rear, and sides, and fiberglass fenders from them.

an ill fitting body kit is something you really dont want, all kits will take some work to get perfect but an ebay kit is gonna take so much work that its not worth it. seriously an illfitting kit looks so out of place and just wrong, ive seen dozens of them and just want to ask why. and thats even after a fresh coat of paint on everything. the pics they use are never of their product on a real car without major photoshoping.
not to say ebay sucks either, ebay is the great equalizer of the universe, rock bottom prices for everythign, just dont buy ebay brand shit, whihc is the noname crap that all those 1billion feedback companys sell, goes to show though that there are people out there who eat that crap up.

all these clowns saying they fit bad dont have one. or dont know how to use a dremel. nsptuner, aero palace, fatboy garage, all the same aero. fits sweet.
Well, I think this is a very touchy issue, I've installed body kits on my friends' cars from ebay that fitted ok(minor work), and I also have fitted kits from companys (known companys from north america), that fitted like ... well, it didnt' fit. I've also fitted a real japanese tune shop body kit that needed minor work. Of cause, there are cases that it fits absolutly perfect too.
now the point is.. they're still fiberglass made products, and mostly hand molded by some dude one piece at a time, so it's hard to have each and everyone of the finished products 100% perfect. I think it all comes down to luck
but YES, the higher priced kits by known companys will have a better quality control, and reduces your chances of getting a bad fitting kit.
Personally, if you're handy at stuff like this and can test fit the kit and home first and making the mods to it before taking it to the body shop, it'll save you a bit of money. I personally have a 7 piece body kit from ebay that fitted almost 80% perfect, it only took myself 1 day of work on it to get it to fit absolute perfect, no gaps, nothing... just perfect.
oh forgot to mention, and all the tools i used was a dremo and hand drill (no zip ties) :D

word, screwing a body kit in will give you way better fitment than zipties

I ordered some crappy FG sides from racerwheel.com ^as seen in the link posted above. I tried fitting them on again yesterday and they just would not go. So I got the dremmel out and eventually got the one side on but I can see there is still a LOT of work that needs to be done. Gaps everywhere, waves need to be blocked out and ill probably have to do some of my own fiberglassing to make it look right.
I only bought them because these zeal sides are apparantly only available through knockoff companies.

of course its not going to fit like the real thing
you have to make it fit
or just leave it for people like me, as long as it looks good from 50ft I dont care
ive had fatboy garage stuff and it fits
I got pieces from Tommy at nsptuner he hooked it up major, that dudes the man and as long as you didnt take the short bus to school you shouldnt have a problem "making it fit"
I got a new shipment of crap aero on its way (body tune)
cant wait to ruin it on the track
if you want to play it safe origin prices are cheap nowadays
the origin stuff I have fit awesome

I think I have the body Tune stuff.
Front bumper rocks, side skirts rock, rear bumper is meh.
Paying 1500$ for something that should be 4in off the ground is for retards.

I just ordered another set of zeal style sides off aerokit2006. He says all his kits fit pretty good and he has 211 100% feedback and all he sells is kits pretty much!
So I guess it just depends on who you go through on ebay.
