i understand many people have headlight troubles with their pop ups (i searched) and my situation is no different. my drivers side is shot and i have 3 days left until i hit the road to NY (bout 2000 miles away) my question:
the headlight will sometimes go up but will not stay up. it will get lower and lower after each bump i hit, due to my new stiff suspension. Is there any way to prop it up for the time being until i can repair it back home?i noticed there is a little crank wheel next to the headlight but that only temporarily fixes it for a couple miles, then the headlight will fall almost all the way down again
please i love driving at night, best time imo, i dont want to attract the po more than i already have, and i dont want to resort to the ol bungie cord:o please help!!!:bigok: thanks!

You need another Headlight motor, but you can ''bandaid'' it with electrical tape and somthing to splint it ie popcicle stick.LOL I can't belive I just sugested that!!!

take the popsicale stick idea to another level. your only option is to use some mechanical device to prop it up, along the lines of the popsical stick, whatever you can jam in there to keep it up, there is no other way about it. for the time being of course.

i have an extra popup motor when you get to NY! you can have it, if i can find it (but since you need it for the trip, go get one from a junkyard, easy to install)

okay so today i went out and had some quality time with my nissan. i took off the plastic shielding around the headlight to look at a way to prop up the headlight. where the lower part of them arm connectes to the motor i tightened the bolt more to hold the pop up headlight in place. it seems to be holding nicely (until i install a new motor of course) to be double safe i took a piece of wire and sort of tied back the head light from the inside so it doesnt look ghetto. i hope this works *crosses fingers and hopefully thise might be helpful to anyone with the same problem :)
