i was having a weird problem with my car. could anyone help tell me what the problem could be. so here it is...about a week ago i was driving at around 0.8 bar (im guessin 10 psi est.) and all of a sudden my boost dropped to 0.5 psi and it felt really laggy. and when i got off the freeway, when i try to accelerate too fast and get into the boost, the car feels like its holding back and wont go anywhere? also im capped off at 0.5 bar until i turn off my car and let it sit for a little bit. anyone know what the problem is? i restarted the car and started driving again. it will boost past 0.5 bar like once maybe and then it will drop again. then im capped off at 0.5 bar for the rest of the drive and the car feels almost N/A. could someone help me? could it be the MAFS? or something like that?
also: i tried reseting the ecu but still same problem. hope its not my turbo =T
thanks in advance

check for leaks. It sounds like you got a loose clamp, and while the couplers are still cold and stiff, it holds. But when the rubber/silicone warms up it allows a bleed by. Maker sure all your piping from the turbo the the T/B is tight and not leaking. What about the BOV? Is it stock or aftermarket? That is a common culprit. This has been covered many times before, so there is a conucopia of information about common things like that here on Zilvia.

yea i checked to see if it was my bov, but it was fine a couple of months ago. i have a blitz bov but im probably gonna change it within the next week cuz it leaks boost. i read the post about how to fix the blitz bov by doing all that stuff cleaning/lubing/etc. ive been searching and thinking it might be the bov, but kinda weird how it happened all of a sudden. will check my clamps later today when it cools down. thanks for the reply

well it's a machine, how else do you expect things to happen. K, a couple of months ago, huh? The BOV, if new, probably just settled the spring and it's definately not going to hold the same as when you set it when it was first installed. Did you try to cover it with your hand to see if it's leaking, try to eliminate everything else before you start blowing dough on a fix that you might not have needed.
