Finally settled on a car!

I've been looking for a month now and I finally settled on a car. It's a hard decision here because so much is available and it's all cheap as hell. I really wanted a 100 Chaser but I know I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I wrecked it. lol. So I settled on an R32 GTS-T with the RB dropped in favor of the SR.

It's lightly tuned. Stock turbine, front mount, outlet/downpipe, Nismo diff, etc.. Most of the work was put into the suspension. It has some generic one off shit coilovers which will be out the door as I have Kei Office XRs waiting along with an HKS GT2530 kit, FCON, injectors, etc.. It already has a full kit on it... Uras which I like save for the front bumper. Unfortunately there really is no front bumper for the R32 Type M that I really like. Luckily it's black so it kind of hides the lines some already.

As soon as it gets here I'm going to have to start looking for a Figaro for the wife. We saw one the other day and she fell in love with it. If you've never heard of it neither had I. I figured it was a new retro Nissan but it turns out it was a limited production line from back in '90-'91.

Clapton huh? Thought it was a very efemminate (spelling?) car. lol. Neat looking though. I was surprised as hell that they were more than 10 years old. The one I keep seeing is in really great shape. They are turbo as well and if I recall correctly from what I read they put out a monstorous 70hp...

The R32 sounds nice, post pics. You're right though, Type-M Hood/Bumper is kinda ugly... on second though, if you post pics, the thread would probably be locked. Eh what the hell, be a rebel!

R32 Gts-t = Rb20
R33/34 Gts-t = Rb25

R32's only came with three motors:

RB20DE (GTS)
RB20DET (GTS-T/GTS-4)
RB26DETT (GTR)

The RB25 didn't appear in a Skyline until the R33 Type Ms.

As for dropping the RB in favor of the SR it's "supposedly" for better balance and weight in the R32. I say this with a grain of salt because I have never personally weighed the SR and RB and I don't know the front/rear balance of the R32.

The way the SR is mounted in the R32 I bought has it sitting further back than the RB20 could have (similar to Koguchi's old 180). If it was worth the effort is debatable. But I'm not too concerned as I just payed 1500 bucks for a nicely tuned R32. lol

I'll take some pictures as soon as it gets here. I have to throw on the turbine kit and coilovers and then get the FCON tuned but after that I'll be heading up to Bihoku (drift spot here) to see what it can do.

Does anyone know of a nice front bumper for the R32 Type M? I don't like the Uras, Origin, or BN Sports... Can't seem to find one I like. There's a shop here that sells the fenders, etc.. for an S13 front end conversion so I'm thinking about going that way. lol. The S13 front end selection is much better...

lol. Good point. When I started looking for a car I told myself no more Silvias! I've owned too many and wanted something different. However my subconscious seems to shouting "TURN WHATEVER YOU GET INTO A SILVIA YOU STUPID BASTARD!" I probably won't do it because I don't see myself spending that much money on something that's just going to get slammed into a guard rail...

I like the GTR front end but I just don't think it looks right on a drift-bitch. Whenever I see a GTR drifting it weirds me out.

I've strayed from Nissan a few times in my life and regretted it. The only thing that could change my mind at this point is a JZX100 Chaser but that's out of my price range.

He liked the Cefiro more huh? Surprising. I owned a Cefiro for a minute back in the day and hated it. Too lumbering for me. I once drove one that had a shitload of sus work and stripped and it was pretty nimble. S15s have great handling but I've met a few guys who preferred the way the big sedans moved. I know a couple guys you couldn't pry from their JZX90s...

As soon as I destroy the URAS front I'll start thinking about the S13 front more seriously.

On the note of front end conversions does anyone remember or have a picture of the S15 with the S13 front that Kazama built back in the day?

Vertex is better than the URAS. I don't think I'm going to really like any Type M bumper. lol.

As for the pictures... when I said S13 I meant S13 Silvia. I think Kazama had it in their booth at like the 01 or 02 Auto Salon. They used to have pictures of it on their website. It was the only S15 I've ever seen with an S13 Silvia front and I thought it looked so damn nice. It was the darker Kazama red with their full aero.
