Mass Air Flow sensor. It measures the ammount of air entering the intake. It is located directly after the airbox. Black plastic with a wire connecting to it.

In earlier models (S13's) it was made of metal, or at least it looks like metal.

Yeah you are right, I thought about that after I posted. Come to think of it my 91's is metal. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'> Not sure which year they decided that it would cheaper to go with a plastic one.
