I have a smaller sticker here and i'm going to take it to a decal shop to get them to make it bigger, but i'm not sure of the dimensions. I measured my windshield and its 44" at the top and 47" where the decal should end... if the decal is 6" high. Does 6" sound too high, or should it be 5? Anyone know? Thanks.

Not to be a dick, When it comes to wind sheild banners less is usually more . If you want to know for sure, why not just measure 5 or 6 inches down from your roof and run some masking tape across. Then get in side and visualize how much of your vision would be blocked. After all you are the one that has to drive it, why take some one else's word for it?

If you must do this make sure it in very thin so you dont look like a ricer, which you will end up doing anyways if you put a banner on your car.

Well i hafta kinda disagree with that. Basicly with the whole "Don't put any letters on your car" approach, not just the decall thing. I agree that on a stock car any decall will look lame. But on a modded car it can sorta look nice if done appropriatly. Imagine you are running 400+hp. You beat 99.5% of all other imports in your area. But to them you are no more than a black/red/blue/... 240sx. Now if you create an image for your car and decorate it that way, people are very likely to remember you and call it by it's image.... imo ... ofcourse the flames and racing stripes don't even come close to any sort of image....

I knew i'd get response(s) of people calling me a ricer, but it's far from the truth. I just asked this question to anyone who made their own before. Also, i should get a decal made opposed to a sticker right? Decals are usually put on with a squeegee and water where stickers, well just stick on.

hehehe. I assure you the quality of the sticker or decal doens't matter much as to whether its rice or not.

Whats going to be on the decal? If its for a club or a company giveing you nice discounts for putting up that banner, sure...go for it.

But if you just bought an apex exhaust or something and your getting an apex banner then its pretty ghey...even if it looks cool.

I plan to tint mine extremely dark (either tint or just a thin black "decal"...whatever works best) and about 2 inches farther down then stock tinting, no words and it'll still be see through.

Please, no useless banners...

Or Imagine two monsters with 350+ HP without any stickers... only thing to give em away is their front mounts and huge brakes.

Ahh yes...

I think this particular sticker is just for looks. It is a product sticker. Just go to a sticker shop have them measure it out for you. I bet you $500 it is a NISMO sticker.

Yeah i'm taking it to the sticker shop tomorrow, but i need to know how big of a sticker i need them to make. I'm guessing 43" wide at the top, 47" wide at the bottom and 5" high.

No i haven't, i've been working. That's a good idea though, i tried it once before but without the masking tape... i just used a measuring tape. Thanks

My suggestion for length is legal length(4" down I think), look on your windshield, and there will be a little line on top, where the tint is on your window, and one on bottom, nothing above the bottom line, or below the top line unless you want to be harassed by police all day long. Now about the banners being "rice" thing, I dont really like the solid banners myself. But for the car club in which I belong, our stickers contain lettering that runs accross of the top and bottom of the window Look here (http://www.angelfire.com/nd/MyPageRules/240sx.html)
And I have since taken off the Evolution on the bottom, but does that look that bad? I'm thinking about lower back window maybe? And with DSC's idea about the dark tint and sticker thing, a friend of mine has a black Mopar sticker on the front windshield of his Dart, perfectly in the tint that is like 5% and it looks bad ass, lates

Did you get that crappy ass sticker on your car yet ? When you do I want to see pictures. Don't listen to anyone else that is not answering your question. I know what you want to do with it.

Thanks Michael, I'm taking it to a sticker shop on monday so hopefully by late next week i should have it on my car. Along with the decal, i'll have my clear turn signals and sidemarkers in the pictures too so it should look pretty nice. Thanks again for the help!
