International shipping and customs.... question

If I were to go ahead and buy a car in London, and have it shipped via a private auto shipping company, would customs inspect in when it came into the port (of baltimore) or would I be able to just go pick it up.

I want to get a 200SX imported at the end of next month, but I gotta figure this ish out before hand.

yes, they will inspect it...and it probably will sit in the docs. They are really stopping the importing of cars back to the states, depending on documentation and HOW & WHY you are bringing it over plays a huge factor too.
