Hey guys,

Well, my stock clutch finally decided to become useless today. Good news was that my new clutch and flywheel came today and I have myself a nice little weekend project. I got the ACT HDSS kit along with the ACT XACT Prolite flywheel! Im way excited to get those in, but Im actually a little more excited to fianlly install a part ive been sitting on for about a month now. Ill be throwing in my Nismo 1.5way LSD as well! mmmm mmmmm biatch!!! Here are a few pics of the parts, and of the car. Took my hood off to gain better access to tranny bolts, and I also spaced out my rear with 5mm spacers...it fits a bit more flush now YAY! Anyways...Im going to take pics of all my progress and post em up from tonight on until its all done! Enjoy:

You didn't really go into depth about an install, mods are gonna tell you PIC THREAD.

You got a 13 motor in yah 14, weak sauce. .. .All that other shit is the same. show us some things creative, (I know you have a budget and you want the best quality for the price). .. . no one's comin' with.you should've tried that Spec clutch stage 2, I hear it hold stronger in higher gear range when pushing the limits. I prefer a stiffer clutch due to its response quality and durability, that ACT should do you fine for now, but you'll get bored of it.

Don't get confused with installation, cause this will be worse. those have been thru so many cars on here, its dumbfounding. .. .

Best of luck to you & the car, don't end up like this RB swap gone bad. . .Im on my way to go look at that right now.

Peace.

Dont worry, Im highly competent, and I will be showing the removal/install of the tranny as well as a diff, so I think it should stay! Thanks for the props guys!

I picked up an ACT extreme pressure plate and a 6 puck unspring disc with a fidanza flywheel. I'm kinda sorry i didnt get a sprung disc but i'll live with it.

My thoughts on the ACT pressure plate is that it isnt stiff enough. My centerforce was much stiffer but I'm sure you'll be satisfied with the ACT.

Get all that shit installed and post pics.

The ACT S/S kit has an upgraded pressure plate but retains a OEM-style disc. I have the same setup in my FD RX-7 and love it. Firm, quick response and it grabs hard without sacrificing drivability. I put a 9.5lbs Flywheel in at the same time and it was so worth it.

Looking good, wish I had more LSD in my S14. ;)

i have the extreme pressure plate from act paired with the modified street disc. I love it. The pedal is really stiff yet since its a clutch disc, its very streetable and grabs really nice.

I used to have the ACT extreme + unsprung six puck. VERY stiff and not recommended for daily driving, but it never slips and engages really fast. you can shift SUPER fast with it but like i said, its horrible in traffic.

I think the extreme plate w/street disc is the best combo from ACT. I still get clutch chatter though, due to the springs not dampening the vibrations all the way. that paired up with subframe spacers and lsd make annoying chatter noises on decel..gotta learn to live with it.

Nice ride man! good luck with your project!

OK! Sorry it took a while to get these posted...but I finished my big upgrade! Boy oh boy is it awesome! Feels like a whole new car! Not only did I do the clutch, flywheel, and LSD, but I installed new tranny and motor mounts too! I havent had a chance to really rip on everything yet...but im anxiously awaiting the end of the break in periods! The feeling of two wheels pushing you around a corner just around so far is really awesome...cant wait for the track! As for the pics...some of them are a little blurry...sorry bout that! Oh also, thanks for all the props guys!!! Enjoy:

Beautiful work. Love your engine bay - clean and purposeful, nice IC piping.
Would have loved a step by step install on the LSD since I've never done one before.
I have a single plate blitz active kit, nismo mounts and one0-piece shaft in daily. Love it but the shatter and vibration can be a pita and hills w/ traffic are nerve racking. Wonder if a torque dampener would help any...
Anyhow, looking forward to more udpates and I'm jealous of people with garages.

There's a step by step install of a Kaaz 2-way LSD on www.driftfactory.com . The procedure shouldnt be too much different if it's different at all.

Yeah...its actually made just for that by valvoline....theyre cheap, but you could honestly do it with anything...I had one made from a fast-orange hand cleaner pump thing off that container! Thanks for all the props guys! The link I saw just now on drift factory...thats pretty much exactly the same :bigok: As for the gold valve cover...its hotttttt :) Im glad you all can appreciate what i do! Ill def post more updates as I do more and more to my car.

Oh and about polishing my headlights...I think a kouki front is in the near future so Im not going to worry about em :)
