With the ridiculous price of gasoline these days, Im really thinking of getting one. With a couple of mods these little things looks sorta VIP'ish. What are your thoughts on these little hatches...

Why does it look like a Scion XA?
It's a decently hot car. Much more respectable than an Xa...not that scion's are that respectable to begin with.

Why does it look like a Scion XA?
Because you're obviously high on crystal meth.
It looks nothing like an xA other then its a hatchback.
The lines are completely different!

The ultimate in VIP is an estima/previa van.
Don't bother with small stuff like the Fit.

very hot lil honda:wackit: i like the hatch/wagon look
it supposedly will have a quite peppy 1.5 vtec too,no?
i think theyre sexy cars and probably the wave of the future:o
At least we have the choice between the Yaris (Vitz) and the Fit... I'd take the Fit over the Yaris anytime.

they dont look too safe expecially with all those huge trucks out on the road god forbid a firestone goes out on 1 of those trucks and they hits a fit...thatd b a hell of a mess...

I'm sure if a truck hit an S chassis, it wouldn't be too pretty either. I bet that car is safer than an S-Chassis too.

Some shop in the bay area has a K20 swap for it in process. They imported one of those in a a few months back just hoping to sell the kit and that this would be a new trend like bseries motor into civics.
I saw pictures of a fit with a K motor in it but it didn't run. It was in the engine bay but it was not a running car so I'm not sure how much that'll work cause I remember something about a lot of fab work. If they did though it'd be like putting an RB26 or v8 in a S-chassis.

dual stage, dual threshold front airbags, depending on seatbelt use and impact severity, also detects if a child or a "small statured person" is in the seat. side curtain airbags on all fits.
I would rather be in a fit than a 240 if Im gonna get hit by a truck.

5 speed manual and paddle shift auto.
Advan
04-27-2006, 07:45 PM
That would still make it a manual. With paddle shifters, you're shifting.
I may have to go and test drive one. I think they need a lil more power though.

its still a slushbox tranny though, paddle shifters is an option for the automatics on the non-sport.

I would have to get the TRUE manual transmission, not the stupid ass paddle bullshit. (I really hate all those fucking paddles, give me a real fucking clutch, and a real fucking shifter!)
I kind of like them honestly. Although its a SOHC and its only rated at like 100 ish horsepower? I read an article about it,but I think they look hot as shit. Something about them is sexxay...I'd have to drop it VIP style haha

Its a fun car, you'll love it. I've had mine since 2002. Compared to other same class cars that I've driven such as the IST, Bb, Versa, Swift, the fit's handling felt the best. Also amazing how much space you get with it.

i test drove a fit. everything is nice but it is slow as fuck...this is coming from a kid who drives a auto 92 civic dx sedan
but if your looking for a reliable dd then a fit is perfect. all it needs a stupid drop, a fender roll/cut, and some hella blingy (if thats a word) rims

i hate quoting pictures and for some reason i missed this thread, so im sorry for doing 2 bad things.
but what does what i said have anything to do with "rice". imo fits are slow and ugly stock. so you fix that by lowering it, rolling/cutting the fenders, and fitting nice wheels on it.
slow is another thing k20 swap...maybe

Hotsauce. The reason these looks VIPish is because of the chrome trim/door handles and clean wheels with wide spokes.
Fits are nice, but you'll end up spending 20K to buy the car AND make it look like that. 20K can get you a better car.
