i just saw the DVD with some friends tonight and i was quite impressed!! ive only played a few hours into Final Fantasy 7 but i really enjoyed the movie, anyone else??

it was a cool movie. i dl'ed it way back when, but i still bought it cuz it's worth supporting. the action alone rivals what hollywood can churn out.

strange thing was, it was sold out at target and best buy this afternoon. i did not fully appreciate the power of the fanboy. thankfully, there were a few copies left at fry's.

regardinf FF7, did you guys know they released a new game based on Vincent for teh ps2? its like some after story around him. cant wait til they translate it and release it here. I dont play much console games nemore cuz i dont have time for em, but id play it.

yea dvd was just released today. downloaded it when it first came out in japan and bought the dvd from amazon couple days ago. should be here in a bit.

good thing was i got a gift certificate from amazon for 25 bucks..dvd was 14. got the dvd for free =]

It was a fun watch. The other Final Fantasy movie had more plot but was less interesting overall. It's purpose was to entertain and bring money in, which I think it does fairly well. This is not a movie that will survive the test of time. Can't all be Star Wars, especially since they all can't have Chewy. RoArUURURGUGURU

I used to be all into that FF stuff.. 7 was my favorite.. Last one i played was ten.. I hated Tidus.. Such a whiny punk !..

i intend to play through FF7 this summer but i cant help but noticed the more than 10 yr old graphics..oh well i can get used to old things, like my S13:o :aw:

Are you kidding me? IX is probably one of the most universally disliked ones. The graphics were ok but the story didn't really make sense and the gameplay was kinda lame.

:werd: ffix was cake, I easily owned that disc in 3 days. It was not as polished as ff7 and is easily forgettable. As a matter of fact I forgot about it, even the story lolz. I do remember the shadow guy with the straw hat. He had some clones too I think or was it his family?? forgot.....oh yeah the main character had a tail.

I'd agree that IX is the lamest of all the FF's.

The only thing i remember is that the main character is named Zidane.

Why, for some reaosn was I thinking he mentioned FFXI? I apologize, but the reason behind FFIX, it was the last PS Final Fantasy, so what they wanted to do was go back to the roots by making it medievil(sp) again, let you have the choice of ATB or being able to choice what moves you want to do without having to hurry up before the enemy attacked, bring back 4 characters instead of 3, bring back the original classes. They even brought back an old memorable boss Lich. The only odd ball in the whole game was Necron.

In FF IX Zidane (the main character) had a tail so I thought maybe he was a Sayin. Unfortunately he doesn't get to turn into a Mammoth Ape when he sees the full moon.

I'm going to agree. Other then some nice scenes, I thought it was pretty bad. The dubbed voices were terrible at best.

Moral of the story is I'd never watch it again.

i just bought it, i kinda just checked out a couple of scenes so far and the voice over do seem DOo DoooooO. Shiet aint even close to lookin like it match. The only thing I liked bout the DVD so far is the FF:7 Reminiscince cuz i sure hell forgot wut most of the shiet that happend in the game other than i beat the shiet out of sephiroth in the end.
