I'm wondering what upgrade to get next and i just happen to have these 3 options availabe to me right now, but i can't afford to get all of them at once.

A Recaro sr3 seat
Set of Tomei 256 Poncams
or z32 brakes w/ 5 lug hubs

I wanted to get some recommendations or opinions from you guys before making a decision.

I'm rocking the stock s13 seat w/ usual tear on the left bolster, stock s13 brakes that need maintenance, and a rebuilt redtop sr boosting 12lbs w/ a s14 t28 right now. So any of the upgrades i listed above would make a big difference no matter what. But i'm just unsure of what to get next.

Brakes with 5 lug.

z32 brakes cause how fast you can stop is more important than how fast you look.

A rip in the seat won't really kill you like "stock s13 brakes that need maintenance" could if you keep rolling around on them without fixing them. So I would say to upgrade the brakes

In order:

Z32 brakes and 5-lug
seat
cams

I would go with the brakes first. You can make all the power you want, but it dosen't mean a thing if you can't stop. Then I'd go with the cams second and then the seat.

Seat before cams? Eh not me. I'd do cams first. Duct tape the seat for the even more sleeper effect w/teh cams :naughty:

it all depends what you use the car for
If it was me:
Get the seat and do your brakes at the same time, the 5 lug conversion can wait till later.
You don't necesarily need z32 brakes. Pads, braided lines, new rotors, and a brake fluid change can do wonders for that car. PLus you can always upgrade to Q45 calipers which are cheaper

You can get more power without resorting to cams... So I'd do Z32/5Lug --> Seat --> Cams

SEAT!!!!!!!!! DO THE SEAT!!!!!!

I hate my stock s13 seat wtih a vengence I want to stab it to death.

Event after event. I still wonder why i still haven't changed it.

My knees are horrible bruised from supporting myself. Hard to do foot work if you're using your legs as a brace.

oh yeah FYI

If you do cams it is VERY HIGHLY suggest you upgrade valve train.

Stock ka24de valve train is already on the verge of coilbind as is.

seat -> cams..

a seat that will hold you in better when you're driving is a good investment.

cams make a big difference on sr motors. 30-50hp can be seen on motors that are tuned. (high hp goal 300-400+)

brakes should be fine for now. getting better pads will help a lot. if you get z32 brakes, getting a z32 master cylinder would be better for bias. a lot of ppl end up locking up the fronts before the rear.

a good bucket seat and good pads. there you go. oh but keep those 256 pons in mind for later on; they're good stuff.

LOL didnt notice the sr factor.

i hate those engines LOL poses imo

but the seat for sure. and since you're already turboed seat -> brakes -> cams

Pads and fluid will only do soo much.

Bigger brakes will do far more ^_^

brakes with 5 lug is going to require 5 lug wheels and tires for those wheels as well.

wouldn't that break your budget?

Brakes.
Seat.
More suspension.

you have to weigh your options, I would say seat or brakes would definitely come before the cams. you already have some power. The seat is all up to you.
Brakes are important to me. If you feel you need more stopping power I would do the brakes. You do not have to do the 5 lug part right away you could easily get the Z rotors redrilled for 4 lug and save some cash there, probably enough to get a seat.

Just remember the more you upgrade your power/braking capability.

The more you're gonna get tossed like a raggy anne doll in that stock s13 seat

Brakes and 5 lug but do you have enough funds to now cover Wheels and tires???

drift freaq is right i do already have some power. So I think I should focus on the other aspects of my car. I don't really have to worry about wheels because the one's I have right now are drilled for 4 and 5 hole. :naughty: But i do have a pair of 17's drilled for only 5 hole that i want to use as back up wheels. I guess i don't need the 5 lug that much but i thought it was a pretty good deal to get the brakes and front/rear 5 lug for 6 bills(includes ss lines and endless pads). But i really hate that stock seat w/ that piece of metal jabbing my side all the time. And it doesn't hold for shit, not even on the slow turns. Well it's down to either comfort or handling. i still can't decide :( .

Brakes for sure, then seat. If you find a good deal on brakes you can get a cheap seat, just enough to hold you in place.
