I remember there was a thread about different filters with tests on how much dirt they are letting through. Anyone got a link to that? The other question I was wondering about, is AEM filters any better than K&N?
Thanx

AEM and Injen both use proprietary filters produced by K&N. soo... they should be identical (except for the inlet hole size.)
I remember reading that review of the air filtes and from I remember the Apexi was suppose to be the best.

Hmmm for some reason i remember HKS being hte best filter
Also, i was checking optauto.com filters and the AEM filter is a bit more expensive than K&N, even though it's the same filter. They are saying that it's somehow better than K&N... that's why i asked.

It may have something to do with the velocity stack in the bottom of the filter. I have seen a regular K&N filter in a while so not sure of the differences. But, if you put the Injen and AEM filters side by side they are identical in construction.
I think the HKS (or Blitz, can't remember) flowed better, but it had less actual dirt protection b/c it was a stainless mesh and the filter element was too big. Good for flow, bad for protection. The Apexi was suppose to be the best of both worlds (unless my memory is fudged up)

it's kinda old, but the it still gives the general idea. basically, the blitz SS is a bad idea...unless you're just looking for gravel protection. not for me. i'd take the apex'i or the new blitz LM (which is not part of the test...it's made to copy the apex'i). oh, and definitely skip HKS...they crumble apart after a little while.

Woopsie. Sykik you were right. Apexi got the best and HKS got the worst. I must've switched them in my head.
So i guess apexi it is then.... Thanx everyone.
edit: Any difference between the apexi super intake and the apexi power intake?
edit 2: NM... $142 for just the cone filter, too much for me..... I'm getting the K&N what are the dimensions that fit our cars? and how wide is hte tubing?

the Power intake has a Dual funnel system
The Super does not.. no idea if there are any performance differences. I would assume if anything that the Power Intake would work better
