For those with SR20DET, pls help me out here.
I have a HKS GT2530 presently but its feeling weak, 300++ hp only.
I've downed a HKS Forged Piston kit, titanium retainers, valve
springs, conrods, HKS 272 degree cams, adjustable sprokets,
turbosmart wastegate, exhaust manifold, etc.
I need a better turbine (god damn good one infact) I looked through the HKS USA Site and I'm interested in HKS T-51R SPL, but its too ex.
Are there other turbos out there that can at least boost 1.8 bar??
My friend from aust has this setup:- Garett T03/04 hybrid
turbine,custom exhaust manifold,HKS wastegate & downpipe. (583hp dynotest)
Need more power

lol.. 300++ hp is feeling week. GOD damn.. what do you drive on the weekends an alcohol funny car??
anyway.. Depends on the purpose for all this MASS of power. I assume you like quick spool since you currently have a ball bearing turbo.

With a GT2530 and you're feeling a lack of power there is some serious tuning issues with your car. With what you say you have you should be pretty damn fast for a 240sx
Ok if you have a HKS GT2530 sport upgrade it has an internal wastegate. The GT2530 is not offered in a full kit either...so i'm guessing you pieced together your kit.
With 307 to the wheels my friend was putting mis 12 second timeslips with stock rims and tires so your car should be fast. He had a GT2540 bolt on turbo 264/272 HKS Cams, DP etc.
A T51R SPL is not for a 240. FD produce way more exhuast gas energy than a 240sx and even a T51R KAI is pushing the border of streetability. The SPL is rated at 1000hp. By the time you spool that thing up you will be close to redline. You need to find a turbo that matches your car...the 2530 is great for a street car. I was wrong in an earlier post and thought that the GT2835 would not bolt up to the stock turbo but that is what I am looking at for the end of the year.

Here is MHO if you truly want the best all around turbine for your SR-20det then you should go with a TD05 18G that from my experiance with SRs is the best all around turbine. You have supporting power of 380Hp and the best spool rate with your exhaust pressure. Most of my Japanese friends use TD05 19c with a 7cm housing it flows 600cfm the next best thing to a 20G. TD05 has a large line to choose from.

only 307, do you have any boost creap? stock exhaust mani? i assume not? what about turbo out let? if you have boost creap port the waste gate hole + gain a few hp on the high end also stock sr exhaust mani is flow limited as is the out let ive seen an hks gtss turbo dyno 345 with out cams (stock ones) still 307 nothing to sneeze at

also what are you doing for fuel delivery? and hows it controled cause i know some honda guys both b16 same chassis one runs around 18psi and n02 the other 12psi the car with 12 is faster cause of his management also the with the right t304 you dyno well over 500hp ith more lag of course turbonetics cam build you one for around 900-1100 not too bad of a price
