TESTING WATERS: High/Low HID KIT H4

Hey gang, Im seeing what kind of interest people have in a High/Low H4 HID kit for the flip-up light community.

My brother is over-seas right now and is bringing back this kind of a kit for me to sample, possibly to even sell. I haven't received all the info yet, but so far, he gave me this info:


High/Low beam feature via Single Filament Bulb
Bulb is extended/angled for High beam feature
Since its from one bulb, will not worry about switching on/off an additional filament, which causes premature wear on bulbs.
Lighting vary from 6k to 12k


Thats all the inforamation I have so far. If we do decide to go through with this, we need to know who would be seriously interested to bring back more kits and have an introductory special price of $230-$240 for the kits. Once the initial batch is sold, the prices will have to increase.

What I need from you guys are questions for me to ask my brother so we can get everything straightned out. Feel free to post here or PM me. Updates will be given once I get more info on this.

Would this just be the ballast and bulbs, or would you be including headlight housings that wont get me HIGH beamed?

is that price for the full kits. HID lights, ignator and ballast.. Can u buy just the light bulbs, if so how much

mmdb- I do not know the name of the company yet. Pictures will come in about a week, when I actually get my hands on the kit.

240FaLKoN- From what I understand, it will not come with the H4 headlight conversion. The high beam feature works from the bulb, not the housing. I think you can use your average ebay housing or name brand housing.

cd1921- The kit includes the HID bulbs, ignitor and ballast. I need to ask for prices on the bulbs. What I do know is that the price for bulb intesity will be the same. So a 6000k would be the same price as a 10000k.

Ok...
Here goes.
H4 high/low uses a single filament bulb. It moves forward and backwards like 1/2 an inch and by doing this.. creates the high/low beam effect.

That price is for the complete kit
2 bulbs 2 ballasts and wires.
there is a 1 year warranty on the bulbs covered by manufactuer ( which I doub't you guys will deal w/ so I will cover it )
This kit is completely 100% MADE IN CHINA
The quality I can say "Looks good" I am bringing a set back for my brother and myself to test out 1st.
Therefore I will NOT be selling any kits for at least another Month.

I can get all bulb sizes in all temperature ratings for about 85-90 shipped per pair w/ harness.
H4 H/L bulbs are a bit more 125-140
Other bulb size kits 9005-9007 DS2 etc is a bit cheaper I can do 205-215 shipped.

These are just estimated prices as I haven't factored my shipping cost in these prices but it should be fairly accurate. If there is enough interested I will open a group buy and we will start the ball rolling.

Also I can get wheels / spcaers / seats / hubs / steering wheels / body kits and etc etc etc...

Aparently all the crap we've been buying have been or can be made in china.

the light output is good and it has been tested in 3 different housings... a HID projector which was the best / and 2005 camry which was actually pretty good .. clean sharp cut and the 240sx.. which sucked the most... gang o glare.. but thats due to the euro clear housing i believe..

Clearcorners.com sells those. . .Cibie lights, they're supposed to get good cutoff, if you can get those with some HID pics, I may be tempted to get the same set up.

the cutoff all depends on the housing... the H4 sealed beam housing doesnt give a good cutoff.. the zenki s14 housing im not sure .. and the S14 kouki headlamps can be retrofited w/ a HID projector to get optimum output

by retrofitting it wouldnt it be cheaper to just buy the HID Crystal with the ballast ignitor from another OEM HID car?
