Just went to the shop and bought some prokits for $230 (not sure how good or bad of a price that is). I've still got my stock suspension so my question is will they still work with the stock shocks? Eventually I'll get some adjustables but for now I want to make do.

If your lucky, they will last a little while. One guy said his stock shocks blew the very same day he put his prokits on. If you can't do the both at the same time do shocks first then springs...although it looks like its too late for that...I would just let the new springs sit (ouch <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('>) untill I could afford new shocks to go with it.

Edit: here's what Brian (http://plaza.ufl.edu/briand/index2.htm) had to say...

I had always heard that you should replace your original struts/shocks when you lower your car, and the reasons I heard were to save time (if you’re doing the work yourself, you’ll be doing it all again in a couple months when the stiffer spring rates wear out your old struts/shocks…) and especially save money on labor (if you’re not doing the work yourself).

I chose to accept the fact I’d be doing it all again when I’d killed my stocks dampeners (which I thought would be at least a couple months…), but on the test drive after installing my Eibachs, I completely blew out my rear shocks. &nbsp; All the oil from the shocks leaked into my driveway, and I couldn’t drive my freshly lowered car for another week until my new Tokicos came in the mail.

It’s needless to say I should have replaced it all together. &nbsp;I thought I could make the OEM shocks last until I could more easily afford the new struts, but they didn’t last even 2 miles. &nbsp; So learn from my mistake

Heya.
Yea... one of the things that Eibach tries to make sure is that their springs mate up without aftermarket parts. &nbsp; You shouldn't have a problem.
Also, the $230 thing... I have seen them for $189.99 online, then shipping was like $20, so about $210. &nbsp; But then again... you have the luxury of having them now. &nbsp; It is a good price.

Yeah I rember reading about your car. I hoping that it was just a bad spring set or something.
I was curious why for most of the springs for the S13, it says the rear gets dropped more than the front?

If I wasn't rebuilding my Z engine, I would go for some good shocks now and if it comes to it, I can afford em but I was hoping to get by for a month or so. I guess we'll &nbsp;see.

what would it cost me for some new good springs and some good shocks that won't lower my car SOOO low where it can't get over speedbumps, but noticeably lower?
