ok well Im still trying to fix an idle problem that has plagued me for a year now. and I just realized I might have a vacuum/boost leak coming from the turbo itself, I am taking the head off next week for studs and HG so ill fix it then, maybe that will fix my problem. weird thing is that my wideband tells me im lean but im spitting black smoke out when I take off hard, which maybe it is unburnt air getting in from the leak, which is telling my wideband that it is lean? so I guess I have 2 questions, does that make sence could that be a reason im getting a lean reading?
ok the CAS question is, a while ago I took my cams out to clean them because I thought they were rusty, was only surface rust and probably didnt need to take them out, but anyway when doing so I had to take the cas out, well im pretty sure I put it in like I took it out, but if for some reason the teeth were moved a bit then would that be a problem? I have good timeing, it is set to the right timing by a light, but could the cas still be messed up, or as long as the timing light tells me its good, then it shoudl be fine? I would imagine that would only mess up the position of the cas as relative of how it was before I took it out, but as long as I can set it to where im getting the right timing marks with the light, then that wont matter if I missed a tooth or so right? btw I did reinstall the cams the correct way with lining up the gears to the links so that is not an issue. thanks for the help.
