View Full Version : is 225/50/15 ok for 92 coupe...

i just ordered 205/50/15 for the front and 225/50/15 for the rear.. i like the look of larger wheels on the rear.. nways.. now im concerned.. is 225 too big for stock alloys wheels? or is that ok? will i have any problem?

I'd say that its kinda big. You're trying to fit 9 inches of rubber on 6 inches of rim.

They will fit, but they are going to look like super swampers. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>215's are about as wide as I would go on the stock rims.

but do you recommend 215s? or am i better off going with 205s all around?

I have seen 225's on the 16 inch RSX rims which are 6.5 inches wide like 95 up rims. I dunno how wide yours are but he had no trouble, and he went racing on the track with em, same 50 profile though, just a taller tire.

the stocks are 15 inch... not 16... and i think they are 16 inch wide.. what should i do? 225s? 215s? 205s?

I run 205/55's and there is a slight bulge (not really noticable) &nbsp;So I think that's about the widest I would go with. &nbsp;I hate the look of bulged out tires, besides I think you loose performance when you do that.
