when you drop that much for a car, you can afford the wash.

I can do that... No not really, but I think it'd be more entertaining if a girl did that... Get a car that clean, and wear some daisy dukes and a bikini top? Now that's entertainment....

Oh and BTW.... I'm not gay.

It must take FOREVER to freakin' wash a car the way he goes about it.

Still if he get's one car done per day minus the supplies, he's still left with a hefty amount of pocket change.

If you can afford those cars then you can probably afford a wash like that.

That's a lot different than when we detail customer cars.

Our process goes something like this:
1. Hose off.
2. Mix some random liquid that smells like soap into some water.
3. See if above solution melts skin or irritates in any way. If not, it works.
4. Find something like a sponge and sponge solution on.
5. Spray off.
6. Grab a bunch of the cleanest white shop towels we have and go to work.

Personally, I would prefer it if we had all the right stuff. I love giving a car a proper cleaning, really makes it look new again. Having just said that, I wish my car were washable...

I like detailing. I wish I had the same materials and equipment he had. I would charge a pretty penny too!

I have all of the stuff he had, but not as expensive. I have done that same process on cars except the ultrasound (which I can see is very useful, because when I was a newb I thinned the paint out too much).

Anyone need detailing? It takes me about 6 hours to do a full job w/ minor swirls...probably 8 hours for ones with deepers swirl marks, light scratches.

so tiring though in 100 degree weather :(

An ex-roommate of mine detailed cars for a while. Said it's a pain in the ass and tedious. Can't image someone thinking it's acutually fun... maybe if I were the guy in the clip.

I can wash my car and stuff for that long... It takes me 3 hours every other weekend to wash and detail my car....

I do some of the steps he does. The clay and wax is regular stuff but I stay away from polishing compounds as I don't trust myself. It usually takes me about 3-4 hours to do a wash, clay and wax. Luckily my paint is new and I rarely drive the car so most of the time a quick wash is good enough.
