Why do you hate a car

well there is such controversy i really would like to know what you people think
i guess you want to know what i think too?
well i look at the car and evaluate the looks, engine, drivetrain, and suspension charateristics and make a decision on that - its also important to consider what the purpose of the car is and its reliability. I have been know to make fun of a civic because to me they arent built for proformance (minus the si) but people make it out like its god. it has its good points and its bad ill never make fun of a stock civic thats driven by a person who isent trying to be the fastest/coolest thing since sliced bread. show me a fast civic without the decal or "look at me i have the loudest buzzing exaust ever" and ill respect it
suvs are a hole different story- i mean you not off roading on a highway nor will most people EVER take there car off road. most people driving suvs are in them alone or with a couple of people (what the hell is the capacity of an excursion - like 80 people - whens the last time you saw one of them full?) they are all over the road and waste so much gas - the only thing i really like about them it there capabilities when used for there purpose.

not to be a PITA, but i don't think that i can honestly say that i hate any cars

i will however say that some kias are downright silly, and that i think that some people do stupid hideous things to them

i personally think that every vehicle, alpha to yugo and everywhere in between has a niche, even if it is jusst as cheap transportation

shit even my old camry wagon was fun at times lets just say that each body lowers the top speed about 10-15 mph, and it has held up to 17 (very uncomfortably i might add, and only for 3 miles)

i know that everything is a trade off, i bought my s14 because it is relatively comfortable, has a nice fat torque range, is f/r, handles well stock, and is both economical and reliable, a pretty well rounded beastie for pretty cheap money

I hate cars that belch smoke, mini-vans with a sticker of a soccer ball, and Ford Excursion/Expedition/Explorer things.  Also hate the token Yugo/Kia/Geo that flies down the interstate at 85 MPH on three little tires and one smaller spare.

I don't hate any car. Do I make fun of some in a sterotypical manner? Yes. Would I mind owning one of the car's I make fun of? No not really. If I was'nt a Nissan Nazi I'd sport around in a Civic or Stang.  It's when the OWNER of the car makes his car out to be something that it isn't that you start hearing people "hate a car" or when a car is put on a pedestal (like the mustang is the ULTIMATE sports car or the Civic is the epitome of import performance) that people have to rag on the car so they can feel better, cause everyone wants to think there personal choice in cars is the best. I think all those factor in "hating a car"

i dont hate cars, its the owners i cant stand.

take today for example. s15dude and i were cruising around, picking up some stuff for work. at a stop light, i glanced at a red roadster a few lanes over with historical auto plate. turned out to be a brick red MG T. Being an enthusiast above all, i looked over his car, and threw him the nod. he replied with a thumbsup and drove off.

THEN, we drove by an EG6 Civic hatch. the dude had a carbon fiber hood and some other mods. As soon as he saw us looking at him, both he and his passenger threw us the bird! WTF?!?!?!?!?! Where does he get off flicking us off? Oh well, i guess ignorance is bliss, for ricers at least...

honestly, i only like hookup modified cars that are high hp or runs really fast in the quarter. for an example, i like a honda integra that runs 11's and a dually diesal truck that runs 13's

honestly.......those are the cars i hate.

cars built to only go fast in a straight line are the ones i can't stand. hence why i despise the camaro and firebird, but respect the Z06. i also don't particularly like lamborghini's.

A nice car is a nice car, no matter what company made it. I don't like FF cars at all, and will never own one as my daily driver, but I'm not going to say that a 400HP civic is a piece of shit.

right, we all have our own ways with there car. i grew up with a racing background from Motorcross racing since i was 6yrs old and watching my uncle drag race his Chevy Nova. dont get me wrong but i love open wheel racing too. i regularly go to lime rock park to watch racing &nbsp;and kart &nbsp;racing. i just love racing in general. it could be from racing your brother to the school bus or playing Gran Turismo. but since &nbsp;my friends and family are more into motor performance and drag racing, i made my car for HP &nbsp;rather than handling. it really depends on what u are introduced to first or what your idea of racing should be.

I only hate cars that are heavily modded and are not pleasing to the eye. &nbsp;I really like cars that have good body lines in its stock form and look much better with some mods. &nbsp;The '97 240SX and '96 Supra would be a good examples of that.

I cant vote on this one. &nbsp;The way i decide on a car is if it is a good balance between power and handleing. &nbsp;Cars that are super powered but handle like shit, suck. &nbsp;also the potential of a car plays alot into my opinion, for example a car that is all tuned and you cant do shit to out of the box, also sucks.

Granted that people do stupid things to cars that I would like had it remained stock (or tasteful). &nbsp;But there are a few cars I have a problem with from the get-go. &nbsp;Personally I dislike any car that was designed around sales rather than performance/safety. &nbsp;And when I say sales, I dont mean to keep cost down (such as Corolla, or any other econo box). &nbsp;When I say say a car is designed around sales I am talking about cars like the Mazda MP3. &nbsp;They took a perfectly fine protege, added a cd player that would play mp3z, painted it yellow, and transformed it into a marketing car. &nbsp;I'm sure it is still a perfectly tame protege. &nbsp;But I hate it when a company makes changes like that for the sole purpose of changing the target market group to kids who think yellow=fast and have no idea. &nbsp;Please don't flame me for saying so, But I also feel the WRX is along these same lines..... &nbsp;*ducks and hides for cover* &nbsp; <img src="#/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('>

Thats why I guess I hate honda's sooooo much.. its the people. Its not like its a bad car.... Just 80% that I see are driven by ....... yeah.
