I have searched around to see if I could find any info on a fitment this aggressive on stock body but didn't find anything. I have all 4 fenders rolled and pulled so that if you measured from the shoulder of the tire (215/45/17 on a 17x7.5 35mm) to the rim of the fender I have about 40-45mm of space. My question is does anybody know if I can get a 245/45/17 tire up front or would I be safer running the 235/40/17 up front. Either way I'm going to be running 245/45s in the rear unless somebody know if I can fit a 255/40 in the rear.
I have an opporunity to pick up a set of wheels with these specs on them but I want to be sure I can run some nice wide meats on them. I plan on running the Falken RT-615s and they do not like to be stretched and I don't like stretched tires anyway....don't handle as well for grip (for my driving style) and I roadrace and autox with the car.
Thanx in advance,
Daniel

your on your own.. those sizes will not fit with stock fenders.. if you pulled them , then maybe with negative camber or a thinner tire.

9", +35 with a 255/40 fits in the rear with a minor roll...you're adding 1/4" to the outside from the extra width, and another ~1" from the offset.
That's a BIG roll, to fit a tire that will be as square as a 255 will be.
Overfenders, or smaller tire...either will need camber...or sell those wheels and get something that will allow more rubber and more grip.
All depends on what you want out of the car...show? drift? handling?

i didn't think that the 255s would be able to fit under there even with pulled fenders
i think in order to be safest i should run 245/45s in the rear and 235/40s up front yes?

Smaller diameter will help...245/40-17 in the rear will help fitment.

the 245/45/17 diameter is 25.7 inches while the 245/40/17 diameter is 24.7 inches (but Falken doesn't make the RT-615 in 245/40/17) while the 255/40/17 diameter is 25.0 inches
if a smaller diameter would make it easier for fitment and the 255/40/17 is .7 inches smaller in diameter...can they fit in the rear in terms of width as well? or am safer running the 245/45/17s even though they have a slightly larger diameter
as for the front tires....i should stick with the 235/40/17 for the front correct?
btw my inner fenders have already been given the BFH treatment :bigok:

That's a 18x9.5 +25 with a 245/40 St-115 on it. (Mild stretch IMO, but still a stretch). Also running -3.5 deg of camber back there. The other thing you need to remember is RT-615s tend to run big too, so they aren't gonna be the same as most other tires that size. You'll never fit a +7 out back with that much rubber on it without overfenders or a MAJOR pull, and I don't know if you could even pull it that much. You'd definitely end up with the "S13 dented quarters".

with my friend's 5zigen FN01R-Cs on the car 17x10 +12mm with the ST-115 in 245s on the car the wheels/tires only stuck out from the fenders MAYBE .75 of an inch tops
so with my 9.5s and 245s on them i may just barely have the wheels sticking out from the fenders right? or is my thinking bass akwards?

The 10 +12 will stick out 1mm further than the 9.5 +7. The tires won't be quite as stretched since the wheels are .5" narrower. That should give you a good idea of fitment.
