OK I just put the head on the block. After I install the cams/chain and try and set timing everything gets messed up. The crank WILL NOT turn forward, tried 130 ft lbs and it wont budge. If you turn it backwards the chain skips a link at the crank. Ive tried this FOUR TIMES! Keep getting same results. WTF is the problem here?!?
Yea its my first try at doing a head job, im a newb.

I believe its something on the intake side of the head? With the chain out the crank turns fine and the exhaust cam is easily turned but the intake cam doesnt budge. What could cause this??

install a cam cap backwards or in the wrong order perhaps?
You prolly broke something good though, you shouldn't turn the crank over w/o the chain on.

Im pretty positive the caps are in the correct order, definietly not backwards. I dunno if something is broken or what, just jammed it seems. With the head on I didnt turn the crank or cams more than a wiggle to see if they will or wont move.

intake cam could be timed wrong and your piston is probably smashing against your valve... check the cams over again and check the timing chain!

Yea, loosen the intake cam caps, see if you can get it to move, Befor that check the valves on the intake side to see if they are not stuck, then check the cam for fit and spin. With the chain off it should have no truble spinning at all, did you pre lube the cam? If you try to spin the cam on the head MAKE sure the pistons are down at half mast, so you dont hit the piston tops with the valves. I'm sure it is in that cam install, bite the bullet and reinstall that cam. Good luck
