Well looks like I have found yet another country that got the LHD 200sx/180sx. I've seen 2 since I arrived here in Stockholm, last week. Only HB's though. I wonder if any one on Zilvia is from these parts...

Anyways, Greetings from Sweden.

Do they have the sr20de? If so, no reason to be jealous. If they have the turbos, then you can start crying <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>

The better question is did they get glass housings for Zenkis and can you fit a set from a JY into your suitcase <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'> &nbsp;(hmmm... maybe I should make that trip to Sweden w/ the GF this summer afterall...) <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>

Okay, the real "better question" is whether Europe got the detuned version like Aus? &nbsp;I believe England did, so I would assume the rest of Europe did too, but maybe that was only a RHD export thing.

Have fun and don't forget my lights biznatch &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''> &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/hehe.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':hehe:'>

Oh and if you do take that trip, June - August are the only months anyone is their right mind would want to be here.

I started a huge discussion on this on FA. &nbsp;Basically, the S13 over there came with the CA18DET (and a few CA18DE's) but the SR20DET did not appear over there until the S14 was introduced in 1995. &nbsp; But yes, they got turbo. &nbsp; And no, I didn't hear anything about it being detuned. &nbsp; But who knows. &nbsp;Britain DOES have more stringent air laws than most of Europe.

Sweden is probably just like England which is...

S13=ca18det (all HB, never seen a non imported coupe)
S14=sr20det

and I never seen a non-imported non turbo (hope that makes sense) might be de-tuned but I never seen concrete for certain HP numbers.

The other posibility would be that the car is German in origin. It is pretty common here to buy and import used German sold cars.

One other wrinkle...the car was badged 200sx not 180sx. It looked other wise stock and it was newer than 91. This is where the German part comes in to play, I am 99.999% percent sure that there were German sold HB's with sr20det's. I know I have seen at least one, also badged 200sx.

IIRC the HB, (aka 180sx aka 200sx) was produced untill 1996 in Japan, though I have no idea what it's production run was in the various parts of europe. Think if I see one again I will have to have them pop the hood, and get an answer once and for all.

But I still have yet to see a coupe or s14 here <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('>

Sweden is really nice, but like I was telling Hippo, come between June and August, because the winter is a bitch and those are about the only months that we wouldn't consider winter. The whole 18 hours of day light is pretty hard to get use to as well. Even at midnight it isn't very dark out, and the sun is up by 3:30 again. &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

But the real reason to come is for the Women, Swedish women are freaking dreamy <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/inlove.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>. I have never been big on blonds but this place reordered my thinking <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>

I'll be here for another 2 weeks or so, on buisness. So I probably won't get to see much else this trip <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('>. But hey who can hate a free trip? <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'> This is my first time being to europe. I think I would like to see more. I was in Japan back in January, for the second time. I am thinking about heading down to Costa Rica to see my litle sister, at the end of the summer. If I can. That should about do it for the year <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>

I think one of our former UK members said it was, in fact, the detuned version in the UK.

Otherwise, keep looking for those damb lights, holmes! &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>

Here we have the s13 200sx turbo and N/A it comes with the ca18det . like ca18guy said.
sykikchimp if you like to party you should go to amsterdam, you have a lot of places you can choose from ( i live in amsterdam so i know)

Ok so I found one yester day, with owner and Skyliner and ca18guy get the gold star <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>. The 200sx came here with the ca18det.

So we have Japan where the 180sx use to have a ca18 but switched over to an sr20 with out changing the name. Then we have Europe where the 180sx was actually called the 200sx but never had a 2 liter motor. &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/huh.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>
