mines does the same thing. i get 125 or something with 3/4 thank left. I also on E and i can go another 100miles no problem. Also I went below E and I drove like at least 40 miles or so before the light turned on. Then after that it would fad back n forth before the light stays on. I get around 425+ on a tank.

my fc has the best gas meter ever. when it was full it would read full. then it would gradually drop to E after about 50 miles. then it would stay at E til it ran out of gas at 215 miles (190 miles the last time i drove it).

I have the same issue with my car. It stays full till I am at about 250miles then drops. I don't know it doesnt bother me. I just live with it. It has just started recently though.

Btw how big is the tank on my 96 s14?

17.2 Gallons to be exact.

Yea my S14 gas guage is wacky too. It will register 1/4 lower than I actually have at any given point, goes well below E and IF the light comes on it will flicker as I go/stop (sloshing gas) until it stays on which is within 1 mile of the car starting to cut-out (had a close call one day).

Made this awhile ago when I was testing my milage:

89 pump gas and a faulty knock sensor, still gets good milage though.

yup same problem here...and the weird thing is that my lil gas light never ever turns on except for twice since i've owned it and those two times i saw it i still had about half a tank of gas still in there when they lit up
