its not that hard to do, but its whether you can do it the right way or not.....
1. the windsheild is a part of your cars structure, and in a rollover situation, actually supports the roof and when not installed correctly, it could prematurely fall out, causing your roof to cave in......not cool
2. the windsheild deflects the airbag back towards you in a collision so that you dont hit it....and if not on correctly, the airbag can push it out, and then boom your hurting

i know all this because im a bodyman, and have taken/are taking numerous classes on this shit, bc in my industry, something like an incorrectly installed windsheild can kill someone quick, and if your the one that repaired that car, your the one getting the blame.........and more than likely losing everything you own through major sue-aje (haha, kinda like sewage, i am an idiot)

but if your gonna do it, use good materials like 3m products and such.....and no matter what others tell you, stay the HELL away from butyl tape....that shit sucks. make sure you clean all the residue from the old adhesive off and prep the flanges correctly

yeah, people have done it, but it's a pain. and if you install it a bit off, it cracks.

usually you can find a shop to do a professional job for $200-$300. for $200, i'd rather just take it to the pros.

You could do it, but I probably wouldn't attempt it unless I had a cage. Like said above, it's part of your car's structural integrity and too big off a risk IMO...

Its a pain to install it right. I payed 120 to get mine installed in 15 minutes. Don't even waste your time.

yeah, I agree with dannyboi. I helped a freind install some s13 glass, and it's definately more of a PITA than what you would spend to get it pro done. Not worth the effort to do yourself, especially if you have no real experience.

it's not that hard of an install if you know what your doing. The worst part is taking it out. I wouldn't recommend anyone do it without the proper knowledge and/or certification. I'm also a body tech, just to give some credentials.

^^^ +1
Go to the junkyards...especially in SD...they have glass places allll over and do it in no time flat. Plus they are reliable, I had a little problem with 1 and they gave me a new window, all I wanted was the trim fixed.

do the prices that some of you listed include the price of the windshield as well? Did you guys buy a new one or just found another one at a junk yard?
