havent found out what spring i have yet but heres the problem. On startup it opens. rev, it opens wider. its like my throttle cable is connected straight to it.

Pinch off the vacuum line and it will stay closed...

signal i started with was from break booster. then i decided to try FPR, but got the same results. its like im getting way to much vacuum and no boost. any ideas?

i`m not thinking you get to much vakum, more the spring is to weak

Yeah you just need to get a bigger spring the standard 7psi spring in the tial bov is too soft so just get a 9 or 11. I put the 11 in mine and works just fine

i just have a hard time understanding why a bov would only close when the motor is off. wouldnt boost from the intake manni close it? its like the manni is always in vacuum. and wouldnt you know it my boost guage doesnt read vacuum

The intake mani is normally in vac, unitl the turbo starts to pressurize it that would be it's normal state. You need a stiffer spring or a dual piston valve of some sort.

my dsm bov is open at idle and light cruise as well. it should close under load.

but it doesnt. it NEVER closes until the car is off. like i said. its like my throttle cable is connected to it.

yes,

on iddle you got vakum and keep it open (it should be closed, open on iddle is not good and normal)

when opening the throttle the Vakum start to disapear so the bov should close, BUT while the Vakum after the throttle disapear you start to get (lets call it) boost wich push the bov open

this is not normal but caused by a defect spring (i`m not to sure this would happend by just a too weak spring) it make sense.
