is it possible for me to "diy repair" this dent?
http://img458.imageshack.us/img458/294/wee6zd.th.jpg (http://img458.imageshack.us/my.php?image=wee6zd.jpg)
or do i have to bring it to a body shop to take it out?
if its a possible diy, any suggestions on how to go about doing it?

Rubber mallet... or fender roller should make it less of an eyesore.

get a dent king or rubber mallet..or if you want to go through the trouble bondo + some matching paint... either way it will probably take you less than an hour to fix.... i would just leave it.... and wait till something big happens which requires you to repaint the whole car

You can probably fix that dent yourself but I doubt it will come out looking perfect unless you take it to a body shop so if you are anal like I am you should hand it over to the the shop. Count your blessings though because that dent is nothing compared to the one I got last month while spinning out ont he freeway in the rain due to my once bald tires. See you at the shop. :ughd:

thanks for some of the suggestions. ill try hammering it out with a mallet when i get bored some time.
i swear my passenger side fender is cursed.
first, i got into an accident on that same side and turned my car into a salvage.
second, my paint got scraped up like crazy after i just got it painted and just put on a chuki bumper, another hood and fender.
third, somone put graffiti with a marker on my car on that exact same fender
finally, now its dented :bash: except this time its my fault lol

hahahahahaha, my driver fender is cursed like a mofo
1. scraped against a trucks metal bumper protector thingy
2. some idiot on jetta backed up into same fender
3. after replacing it with a new one it got dented by god-knows what
i just leave it, if its cursed replacing it wont help :ughd:
good luck man, as long as its not chiped to metal and wont start rusting leave it, in worse case get a whole new fender for around 50$ from junk car

Oxyclean works pretty well, though, if you toss it in the washer

go look for a "paintless dent removal" van. not as expensive as a body shop but don't expect to pay less than $50. they use alot of picks, dollys, tangs and get it very clean. its an art what they do.

Baseball bat + Bondo will fix that right up!:Ownedd: Thats kind of what my fender looked like when my tire pulled it out under load. I just rolled it back in and it looks fine.
