Turns over fine but its not wanting to run. i do get a stumble every now and again but thats it.

I installed a N60 Z32 Maf and i wired it as followes
A- to nothing
B- Black/White
C- Black (C and D are on the same black wire)
D- Black (C and D are on the same black wire)
E- white
F- was empty

here are the S-AFC settings I Used
Sens type - hotwire

Sens. No. In 01 / out 06

Sens. Cal. In 2 / out add

Car sel. cyl 4 / thr north east

Dec. air.
thr 2.0
ne1 0.7
ne2 2.0

using 480cc's set at -42 all the way

I installed the SAFC and injectors weeks ago (with stock maf settings)so im sure the problem must be in maf wiring or safc settings. thanks for any help.

Couple problems here...

N60 is not a Z32 maf. Z32 is an N62 maf and has an orange tag. If your MAF has a purple tag, it is from a Maxima. They LOOK identical, but I assure you, they're not.

Second, -42 on a SAFC? Damn, I don't even want to think about the timing problems you are going to have.

Third, the dec air function is useless. Don't mess with it.

Fourth, the black ground wire coming out of "C" should be wired to the chassis of the car.

So is my wiring all fubar or do i just keep it as is and ground C like you said?

Im running a wide band so ill adjust the afc as needed

black and white is power, white is signal, black (D) is ground to the ecu, and the other black is grounded to the chassis via ring terminal or any method you should choose. Sucks about the maf. A lot of scammers on ebay try and pass them off on the unsuspecting.

the black and white power, talking about the two in the grey jacket? and do i wire this to 12v or is one of the 3 14 wires to be used (im sure one of the 3 14 are power but didnt know if i need nore power for the N60) ???

white signal goes to the white from the 14 harness correct?

thanks for the help :o

If you have an SAFC II like me, you will have to make an adjustment in the ETC menu prior to startup. Go into ETC, choose Sensor Type, choose HW and In "2" and Out "6"

Anybody know how those hotwire sensor numbers are derived. I have heard it is 2 in and 7 out. Also my MAF didnt come with a sticker so I dont know if its for sure a N60 or N62. Are the colors of the wires on the plug different shades or something?

in 2, out 6.

here's an easier way to install the maf:

hold the plug so that the two humps are on the top of the plug, and the wires come out toward you. the number of wires from left to right:

1. blank (no use)
2. white
3. ground to chassis
4. black
5. black/white
6. blank (no use)

the maf plug should just be a color match up to your engine harness, with the exception to the chassis ground wire. hope this helps!

(In) is the maf type and (Out) is the vehicle/engine type. example: if it was a s13 SR swap, your HW setting would be IN 2, OUT2. now, you've got a z32 maf. it's IN 2, OUT 6. all this can be found in the afc manual on apexi's web site.

You need to correct the VQ for using the MAF...
Using an SAFC I don't know how to do it.

But, is there something about a K value in the settings anywhere?
