and normally I do not go to these things, the fact that I do not have MORE pictures is the reason for it, but I saw this monster:

'69 Superbee, but not the way you would think that it should be done, notice that "800 HP" on the plate? In this car, he has a 5.9 Mopar engine, built by some guys up in Lexington, NC by someone in the Petty family, 4-speed tranny built for the same purpose, same applies for all other running gear and suspension. Effectively this is a pretty Winston Cup car, with roadgoing sensibilities.
... and for you guys who USED to think your wheels had a lot of lip, check this out and cry yourself to sleep:

... and for the record, my phone measures EXACTLY 4 inches in length.

I love the license plate "800 HP". Mopar for the win this time around.

Yeah, guy said that it made 770 on an engine dyno with a 650 CFM carb, but that he is now running an 850 CFM, so I had NO issue with his 800 HP claim.

If your phone is approx. 4" in length, it appears that another 4" phone, give or take, can fit in the lip.
Meh.
My friend Simon's wheels lip is that big too. (Work Meister)
But then he got widebody... so he's cheating. hahahaha
But super hot sex car nonetheless.
Where the fuck is the engine bay pic?

It went down like this, I was with Brandon (steeles) and Randall (sway500) and we were wandering about this carshow at a dragstrip around the corner from my house. Walking around, we happened upon this GORGEOUS car, so I snapped the full engine pic. BUT WE WERE MOVING, so I was not at the open hood of the car.
I got details of the build from the owner when we were in the staging lanes, right down to price and who built it and all that... This was when I laid my phone in his lip and snapped the picture, but we were in a staging lane, which generally moves forward every little while, hardly the situation where you can request someone to open their hood to take a pic. When he made his only run, his first ever dragstrip run in the car, in which traction was an myth (read: shitty run), he bounced, but I couldn't catch him before he did because I had to wait and film Steeles' runs.
Long story short, I missed my chance at engine shots because I didn't know to want to have them until it was too late. Hindsight is 20/20.
... and I call bullshit on your 8" lip story until I see a picture

Nice car, funny thing is I was at the Coffee bean up the street from my house yesterday afternoon and a guy drove in in a 69 Superbee. First one I had seen in years. Of course living in socal around Hollywood, we do see a lot of the classics.

Yeah, 770 was NA
What did it run?
I got tired of watching him abuse the 275 section width rears he had on the car and didn't watch his run to the end, but it was OVER 10-11 seconds in the 1/8th.
Fact is, however, that after a very healthy burnout and seemingly well built car, traction was but a myth in this car. He spun from the line, and then again HARD when he went for second and third gears. I cannot be mad at him.

Shitty track prep didn't help. They do NOT prep the track in anyway at this show. To many show cars. They aren't expecting anyone to be serious out there. hell MY car broke loose in the middle of third gear on my last run. and I don't have HALF the suprebee's power.
Yes at LEAST a 770 hp NA engine. it was a former NASCAR Nextell Cup motor from one of the petty racing teams refresehed by some shop. But as the owner of the car told the guy in the Scion TC that was ill fated to have to line up with him in the staging lanes "all the power in the world won't help if you can't get it to hook up. hell you'll probably beat me"
And for the record my fastest of 3 runs was an 8.64 spun all through first and short shifting cause I have no tachometer.

ROFL Rat!!!!
Anyways... Kazou.. FAKE LIP! I hate how newer wheels have the spokes drastically curve backward for the mounting seam of the 3 pieces, making it look like another good 1-2 inches of lip that wouldn't exist on older style wheels (where the spokes end at the lip with no curved cheating business). But yea those Meisters SUCK. SOo...... Give them to me? Ok cool thanks! Hahaha.

Yeah, sometimes that "cheater lip" stuff bugs me, but on wheels that hot, I could care less, hahahaha
Now if it was some AME junk, I'd be like "man, that shit is weak."
And no, you can't have them sorry. :(
I will trade you for your car tho. hahahha
