Note since I just got done doing this this weekend. If you have a S14. The old carpet is actually under the blower and stereo. That kinda makes it somewhere between impossible and WTF. I found it easyest to just cut it in two around the tranny tunnel and tuck it up under the blower instead of trying to slide two bands of carpet under the center console. I bought mine on ebay. Get a good pair of shears as well. The backing is almost impossible to cut.

edit ... s13 coupe.. damn.. read more

I don't bother with EBay personally. Too many scams there for my taste. I'm still planning to order from the link I posted before.

That seems to be the going price for interior carpets.

If there's any advice I can offer, take your time!! Seriously... give the carpet a day or 2 to just "lay out". Yes, its custom molded but its not 100% perfect. Giving it a day to sit out will loosen it a bit --- doesn't hurt if its left out in the sun to really soften up.

Anyways, here's my 2 cents to this link http://www.zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=82939

- Sorry the majority of the pics aren't there, but you can see the beginning and end results though.

Take your time and enjoy the new carpet.

I know what you mean but check out the feed back, and I don't mean the number/percentage. If you look at the feedback (negative) only one is for "fitment" and its for the floor mats. I understand that u get what you pay for but there's no harm in trying to get a better price on a seemingly comparable (sp?) item.

i plan on reduing my interior soon but i had some questions. what is the real color of the carpet? there are like 40 different types of grays on the websites. which one look closest to stock. also what do you do to keep the carpet down. does it just drop in then you put the seats and stuff back in or do you glue it with something?

Cant help u on the color. Maybe you could email one of the posted links and ask them if they know, as for me I'm gonna take out my old gray carpet (currently black due to "custom" duplicolor fabric paint) and change it to black. As far as holding it down, I'm sure you'll just need a good spray adhesive.
