Does anyone know if the 240 SE coupe came with ABS as standard equipment, or was it optional? The reason I ask is I'm looking to purchase a driveshaft off an SE coupe, and I want to make sure it's ABS before I buy it.

Or, if anyone knows the measurements of the ABS and non-ABS shafts, that should tell me what I need to know. (I believe the ABS shaft is shorter, correct?)

Thanks.

P.S. I'm talking about a manual shaft, not automatic.

ok ill put it here then haha
i know in 95 abs was not standard, but optional for se's. just run the VIN of the car you are buying it off of and it should pull up everything about it.

abs is optional. If you dont have vlsd you most likely wont have abs. pop open your hood and look at your brake cylinder. there should be a abs box connected to it, if you dont see that then you aint got it.

There were cars that came with ABS but not VLSD, ABS was an option in 1989 but VLSD was not.

I'm not wondering about my own car. I know it has ABS. That's why I want to be sure this drive shaft is from an ABS. Also, I don't have access to the car it's off, so I can't just stick my head under the hood and look.
