so i have a defi gauge, the thing is i know you have to connect the air fuel into the o2 sensors. But which wires? The gauge has white and black and the 02 sensor has 2 white ones and 1 black one. Subjections plz. thanks

I didn't know Defi made widebands.

*sigh* here we go.
I'll post something helpfu..l.

Gauge:
Black = Ground
White = Signal

O2 sensor:

Black = Signal
Whites = O2 heater

wait a minute, are you connecting it directly to the sensor??

connect it at the ecu. much better

get an FSM, find the pin diagram for the ecu, then find which pin is the O2 sensor. tap into that wire.

so tap the pink wire into the ecu?

that looks right. as long as that's the right ecu you're looking at.

i got a defi af gauge also, i hook everything right, but the needle seems always stay in the same position... whats wrong?

Because narrowband guages arent accurate. Get a wideband sensor then you wont have that problem.

Or hook it up to a wideband O2 sensor and you have yourself a standalone wideband

but how come the gauge seems like not working as i hook up the signal wire correctly? the other af gauge i install also works properly... any idea?

the wire going to the ecu from the o2 sensor on my car was a coax wire, and I got the inside wire grounded out on the outside wire, which made the guage not work properly and just stay in one position.

this might be the problem with yours. The outside ground must not touch the signal wire on the inside.

The stock narrowband O2 sensor can only read lean or rich. It doesn't tell you how lean or how rich. You need a wideband for that.

If it stays on one reading, and you're sure you wired it right, your O2 sensor may be clogged.
