Good information and pix for an electronic unit. The boost controller goes in between the intercooler piping and wastegate actuator.

There is an in and there is an out. Just stick it in the line between your pressure source and wastegate.

what he said, just install somewhere on the vac. line coming off wastegate.
just tap into the vac lines on the actuator. make sure the Arrow is pointed towards the turbo (if there are any) if it doesn't work one way, try flipping it around.

Dawes Device installation from http://www.3barracing.com
First option,

#1 is the only way I would do it. It accounts for Piping losses and has much better transient response. Especially between shifts.

My 2c
I have tried both options onmy wrx a couple years back.
The second digram states "best for resistance to spiking" and
it is true for the above application. boost response was the same
but with a feed from the mani I would get a small boost spike.
The second option yielded the same boost levels but without the spiking.
I had this connected on my SR as in the first diagram and with great
results. No spikes at all and fast boost response.
