that's a great silvia u got there. a few q's tho:
-is that the original blue paint? me like. me like a lot.
-is the hood on right? i see some extra space between the hood and the lights.
-wassup with the fender gap in the front? a family of four can live there. j/k
still, u got urself a sweet lookin' car.

the hood is on propperly, somewhat... not a perfect fit
when i bought the car it was repainted another color, the color you see on the front is the color code that's on the car, which is the orginal color. so the rest of my car isn't the same color as the fenders/bumper, 'cause it was repainted, so i'll have to repaint that color, eventhough i love it...
iirc color code tk3g

So those are real JDM chrome drift series hubcaps? Where and how much did you get those for, cuz I sure as hell know of a nice White 92 Geo Prizim 4dr out on my sidewalk that could use those for the JDM drift events that require special JDM drift series chrom hubcaps.

how much lighter are the silvia front end parts than the 180sx ones? that might have something to do with the wheel gap

Its not light enough to add noticable wheel gap.

the m3 is mine....i'm one of jeremy's friends. jeremy thinks that the s13 front end takes off 70-80 lbs so maybe it did add some wheel gap.....plus the fact that he has 2 10's in the trunk(i think they're 10's). <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>

thanks for the compliment!
how much does the stock hood weigh? i was under the impression that it weighs ~50 lbs...if it does, the cf hood weighs 10-15 lbs.....so that's 30lbs right there.....i don't think popup headlights would weigh 40lbs over projectors.....but you'd have to ask meowth about that one, i'm just taking his numbers for truth. even so......if he lost just 50 lbs in the front, he also gained ~100 lbs in the rear as well. his battery was moved to the rear on top of his sound system so his car handles quite differently from the stock 240. or at least theory would imply so.
i think zephyr knew it was an m3 from the mirrors and front bumper. the main visible differences from a regular 3 series and an m3 would be
the m3 rear bumper has a diffuser
the m3 front bumper is more aggressive
the m3 has sportier mirrors
the m3 has mouldings that match the bumpers(the regular 3 series usually have skinny mouldings)
the m3 sits slightly lower(1-1 1/2")
the m3 has more aggressive side skirts
and i think that's it. any of those pieces on a regular 3 could easily be replaced so its often hard to tell whether or not a car is an m3. the best way is to see the interior(it has ///m all over it)
ok sorry i typed so much but i tried to cover as much info as possible i guess <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>

I heard it is 22 lbs for the front end. And the hood I don't know. but the pop ups are like 22 lbs heavier or something, so the car is now that much closer to 50/50 now... an SR and you should be all set.

he's way past 50/50 now......what is the stock weight distrib? 53/47?
he's lost a lot of weight in the front, and his rear is at least 100 lbs heavier if not more........which would put up at least a 5% difference.....then once the lost weight in the front is factored in, yeah......he's got a carwith a rear weight bias.

yah, so it hit me this afternoon, that my silvia conversion saved me weight, i think its about 20. and the cf hood saved me more weight, i think it should be around 40-50? i don't know the exact numbers. on top of that, like that m3 guy mentioned, i have 2 12's in the back and a freakin 30lbs? battery.
