Pics too big to post

I have pics that are about 600kbs to 2.2mbs and this website will only allow up to 250kb. Whats up with that? What programs are you guys using to make the image small enough to post?

photoshop is the standard tool to use. paint shop pro can be had for free legally. there are some other photshop lite editions or something out there, usually bundled with digital cameras and stuff like that. maybe you can find one.

Paint is the easiest imo. just open picture and hit ctrl w resize to 40% or so then save. takes a huge picture down to 125k or so

use your free website your isp provides you. if you have broadband its should be 10mb of space or more.
