Any one know how to decode a JDM VIN number to determine the year of a front clip? I know about the ECU codes but does anyone know where to look on a VIN number? Thank you.

well, I am going to pick-up a front clip on monday (get to choose from a few) and thought it would be nice to be able to look at a digit and know the year of each. Thanks for the help guys. Thatguy, those VIN decoders seem to be for USDM cars (no rb ca or sr motors) any for JBM VIN numbers (less numbers than USDM vin numbers). Those are what i found when I searched, but thank you very much for taking the time to try and answer my question. RS13, Is your service for USDM VIN numbers or JDM VIN numbers? If it is for JDM is there a way you can find out which number/letter represents the year and possibly what they =. thank you very much!!

JDM numbers is what i do.
The japanese nissan fast will be able to do it and tell you every factory option that car came with.
People use this to make sure their imported car's (15 year rule in canada) are legal when they arrive and are sold.
Just PM me the numbers and will give you a list.
You can also user your VIN number to find the exact parts factory equipped with your car... So if you need something for that specific car it is easier to find...
