I used to have a snake that ate white feeder mice like that. The mouse dies quick from the snake, and suffers little.
My friend had pirahnas, I think they just ate feeder goldfish. Much less grizly. One of those damn fish took a bit out of his finger once, it was pretty bad.

There are much more strange pets that people have!

Pirahanas are actually very pretty fish. They are a lavender-ish pale purple color and have a gold metalic shimmer. Aside from that they are a bit lumpy looking, and their theeth are freaky. Normally they don't have their mouths open so much that the teeth are all that visible.

I agree not the best pet, but not as bad as a ill-tempered pit bull that mauls children when it gets out.

Just like cattle are bred for food for us. Its not that they become food, its the manner in which they die.
