It didn't even seem like it was too interested in fighting. He still got owned.

that bear didnt look full grown but it still had at least 250lb on the cougar.

Meh... that grizzly looked like it wasn't even putting up a fight. Throw a female bear in the mix and one fo her cubs in possible danger. Then I imagine that cougar would be getting trounced. Still, I wouldn't want to mess with either unless they were already dead and stuffed.

^^ yeah that bear looks like a young male bear after watchin it over again. Seems to be inexperience. I've seen a grizzly take on a full grown elk and eats it. Now thats crazy!

yeah... terrible video. why would you have no respect for grizzly bears anymore? you sound like an idiot. the bear wasn't even upset and seemed like it wasnt going to fight either way because it just strolled into the cougar's territory or whatever. with both animals pissed off, it would have been a better/cooler fight, but that video was lame.

Damn. That bear was just chillen a couple paws and the cougar would have been tore up. Im a Bear fighter and for sure know that bear wasnt trying. If he reared up ayyy veh shiii wouldve been done for the cougar!!!

Im pretty sure that was winnie the pooh. Thus that bear does not represent the entire bear community. Real bears would be spinning in their graves.

I once saw a Black Panther or a Black cat of some sort with it's paws clipped off by hunters thrown into a cage full of four hound dogs.......the cat got ripped apart because the hunters had clipped its paws and put a muzzle on its face.....it was crazy though cause it put on a good fight batting away the dogs one at a time..

You have to look at it like this: don't fuck with mom protecting her cubs.
That cougar was not backing down, and the bear had little to gain. Sure there would have been cub snacks at the end of the fight, but the bear figured the morsel was not worth the pain the cougar was going to dish out.
Also, bears are primarily foragers. Spending a lot of calories and bleeding for a meal usually won't be worth it for the bear.

Damn before I saw the vid I read the posts..... When you guys said the bear got pwned I actually thot he died. So I decided to watch and it wasnt THAT great.... Besides that bear didn't seem like it can be phased by that damn cougar's claws. And what was the point of that kitten? So random....

The point of the kitten was that the cougar was a female protecting it's young - that's why it was so fierce and the bear backed down.
