Gas is cool but shit you got to have tremendous skill to drift those.

Muzzy

lol no u dont. i think correction...i know it takes more skill to drive 4wd mod elec on road or gas 4wd onroad then any other cars.

and they are far from expensive.....compare the cost of a real car part versus an RC car part. u can get a RC car for teh price of some car parts.

What chassis? I remember the good days when i was spending money on ESC, batts, wires, gas, engines, motors, ahhhh. Now i spend money fixing a real car.

RC is way more affordable.

Muzzy

lol yea that was me too 95blue240sx. i may have to get back into it. a real car is killin my pocket. so now i wont bitch about R/C tires. lol

I'm glad I'm not the only one on here who blows money on rc. I just need to stop. Between racing rc and racing my real cars. I'm nearly broke.

haha that was long time ago.. cool u recognized it was a thunder tiger conversion for the ta02.. i didnt really drive it too much when it was gas.. those tires where soo shity... even with the foam inserts they seemed to collapse in the middle.

Muzzy
04-01-2006, 02:08 AM
yea i had those tires once. they did suk, i drifted on those with my RS4 b4 it was cool lol.

maybe u should buy my trucks so u can get into off road. off road is way funner lol.

If you want fun, you should get into rc heli. That's where the fun is.

Muzzy
04-01-2006, 02:13 AM
lol its fun but cost a grip more!!! and takes more skill!! and blades arent cheap. unless u are talkin about that little norvel.

!Zar!
04-01-2006, 02:26 AM
Norvel no. I'm talking .50 size. But now a days you could get a small electric one for only $210.00.

Muzzy
04-01-2006, 02:31 AM
lol damn a .50!! dude thas serious bank!! thas not 4 kids lol. thas for folks with money who can afford blades and like balencing them. bunch of servos and a gyro. big bad radio too. and u gotta be able to tune it.

back like 5 years ago i had a serpent impulse which was a great gas 4wd car, until this cocksucker stole it. I dropped like 450 i think on it ( this was before i had a car or liscense mind u but haha in retrospect, it was a good investment for someone who wants to tune cars and work on suspensions, before u can even drive a real car,
nice drifter there bud

Cost of real vs toy is obviously pretty significant. I worked, on and off, at a hobby shop for about 10 years. What was interesting, was that when I got back into scale racing, after having done real car racing for several years, the dollar amounts for the toys didn't seem so bad. With that in mind, spending a grand on a complete car didn't seem so bad. In retrospect, I probably should have saved that money, and done something worth wild with it....since all of the new stuff sits right along with the old stuff collecting dust.

Plus, as with anything, you'll never get your money back out of it. I've been saying that if I could get enough money out of selling the RC stuff, to at least by a turbo, I'd be happy. Alas...I doubt it...:bash:

I know the way you feel, I've been racing and in the hobby for years, and my "toys" have taken 10k that could've gone twards my real car. Haha Sad thing is I'm into it all, rc heli, planes, boats, cars. It's sad really.

10k? I don't know that I got to that point, but I wouldn't be surprised!

one thing I could never do, was get my RC off the ground. I just looked at flying RC stuff, as a more efficient way to lose money :)

I've been trying to get myself to drag some stuff with me to autocrosses, to kill time between runs! I'm sure the safety steward would have something to say about it...

aw i used to want an impulse back in the day!!!! yea..i thin i will get back into RC sooon enough. far cheaper, safer, and funner!! lol
