I've recently inherited my brother's 240sx, and he's done some pretty ghetto stuff to it.. One of the major problems is that instead of buying the proper sized rims for the car, he bought some hideous looking things that don't even fit: he used adaptors. As hard as i've tried, I can't get them to align no matter what I do, i get horrible shaking on my steering wheel that increases as i go faster. I'm currently in the proccess of buying the stock rims for my 89 240 (found 2 already), but in the meanwhile, where can I go to get these things fitted properly?

bump, or something

HELP!!!

After having given up on the rims, I got to work trying to install some wheels i had lying around. Long story short, through a combination of my bumbling and a tireshops air-powered bumbling, the last bolt on the last wheel of my car has been stripped ROUND. A nut-splitter is too big to fit in there, how would I go about getting it off?

Been there done that.  Best option is to take it to a tire/wheel shop and pay them to **** with it.  You'll save yourself so much agony.  They have ways of getting it off.  Trust me, you NEVER will.

BUMP.

Four tire shops later, 3 hours with a hammer and a chisel, 4 with a high powered drill, and the rim is badly damaged.  hell, I can't even tell if there WAS a nut where the shrapnel currently is, nut and bolt and rim seem one.  And the wheel is not off yet.  Any Ideas? PLEASE?  The wheel is attached to an adaptor, I do not care what happens to the adaptor, and to a lesser degree, the rim itself.
