i wanted to know if anyone had any recomendations on wide body kits for a 240sx hatch.. im lookin at 3 right now... chargespeed, version select, and origin.. any one have any experiance with any of them? which one is the cleanest fit or better product? also... after i put the wide body on what size wheels and offset would be flush? im lookin for a nice sized lip in the rear... thanks for your help..

Try searching a bit more but im in the same dilemma. So far i have decided on the chargespeed fenders because of the fact that they cover the entire rear fenders meaning they meet flush with the door panel quarter windows and tail lights.

From my experience, the best one quality and fitment wise is by far Origin. version:SELECT is also a very awesome product and I had no fitment issues, but it just wasn't the same as my Origin.

ON an S13 with 20mm fenders in front and 50mm fenders in rear, you can get a very low offset on a wide wheel. Right now i currently have 18x9.5 +3 in front (can go 18x9.5 0 offset... my friend 's car has this) and in the rear I currently have 18x10.5 -10. You can bow the fenders out a bit to accomodate a slightly lower offset or less camber, if neded, or you can push them in a bit if your offset is not so low and you still want to be flush. There is about a 15mm leeway.

This is just my experience and its what works on my S13, i know everyone has different goals and for SURE different tastes.

Every 50mm rear overfender does that. Only the 30mm ones are not full 1/4 panels down to the rocker.

If you are looking at Chargespeed demo cars as basis for this... its not entirely correct b/c they have those fenders molded in professionally by a body shop to eliminate the little dents the 1/4 panels have for rivets. Also, FRP 1/4 panels never extend to the edge, they are always a 1/2 to 1 inch short so they can be molded in with bondo and filler by a bodyshop if you want the look (like the Chargespeed demo cars). This is cool for show cars, but on drift cars, if you break the FRP 1/4 panela nd it's molded in... you have to tear it all out, break all the paint and bodyfilling to ge them flush just to replace it. then you'll need a new paintjob, etc....

what camber are you running in the rear with those 50mm wide fenders and 18x10.5 -10?

I have a camber guage and alignment tools. I checked them yesterday and I have -2.75 deg. of rear camber but my car is basically about to tuck rim lip. Static. Under compression, my wheel lip hits the fender/tucks under. When the car was higher and i was just tucking a little bit of tread (aka normal people), the camber was at -2 deg.

I was looking at the vivid racing sileighty and one of the signal twin drifters. The rivets were un molded and ran along the entire edge of the quarter panel.
I know the origin and some others all come short to the edges. this is the dilemma and wondering i have. I was hoping the charge speed was a full quarter panel cover so i can just rivet it on saving money on bodywork. No molding either cuz thats extra money. Anyone have a chargespeed 50mm overfender on their fastback that can pitch in a word?

I'm not sure about the brand. Most of those must fit good though. Being that they're Made in Japan. But I can not give you a definite since I don't have it on my car yet. Sorry

Origin, Version select, etc all of those kits are beyond great, If you're going to install the kit you're self be sure you take you time and just screw here and there, To make any kit fit nice you got to take you're time while test fitting it and then finalizeing the spot where you're going to put the hole for the screws, as far as wheels 8 or 9 in wide are good.

wide fenders? 9 or 9.5 fronts 10 or 10.5 rears.i mean seriously
why evne go 'wide body' w/ shit wheels and spacers.

get the right wheels to fit those 50mm rear fendres, dont depend on 30mm bolt ons!

because most people come from the kiddie honda camp where body work > knowledge about your car, especially wheel sizing
