when doing ur suspension handling...etc... what should i do first other than coilovers?? cause i want to set my car up b4 i get the coilovers...im going for drifting and i have a s13 hb...i already know what coilovers i want i jus want a list of things i can get b4 i get the coilovers and a list of what i should get after i get the coilovers...im not going all out because my car is going to be a daily as well....

so what would be the first things i should get??
and after all that what should i get after getting the coilovers??
does what i get depend on the height im going for??
does the size of rims matter when doing this as well??

Replace worn-out peices i.e. bsuings, which will really wear out once you throw some aftermarket suspension on. T/C (tension control) Rods, Tie rod ends, etc.

I replaced these Items with Nismo T/C rods and Moog (like OEM) tie rods beacase mine is daily as well. Otherwise get pillowball (no rubber) and get some adjustability, sacrifice some softness.

...and height and rim size do matter if your'e going extreme...search a little. Join up with someone local who knows about this stuff to help out.

But the info is here if you search. Try the FAQ's

basically TC rods and RUCA's are good to get. The lateral, forward and LCA's are less important at first, but should be taken care of. TC rods wear out rediculiously fast, so i recomend pillow ball joints rather than nismo bushings. They take a lot of stress when brakeing. Also if you run to big of a wheel (espically on a S13) you will run into problems when lowering it in the front. You can help yourself if you relocate the harness that runs in the front driver side wheel well into the engine compartment or somewhere more out of the way, and pounding the knive edged joint thats there out of the way.

If you plan on lowering the car, I say make sure your coils come with

Front camber plates

Or you're going to run into uneven tire wear issues. After that, get

Rear upper control arms. These are for rear camber, so you can change your camber in the rear.

After that, maybe a combination of front tie rod ends (with Heim joints), since your stock ones are probably exploded and need to be replaced. Ball joint ends will become victim to bumpsteer if you slam your ride.

Depending on the coils your getting, if you have the stock sunktastic rims your car might have clearance issues with the body of the coil.

I recommend, if your on a budget, to go for the rear toe arms. Toe is 10X's as important than camber. Second would be for the front, and get tie rods, inner and outer. Toe again. Hopefully your coils come with camber plates for the front, so that's taken care of. So that leaves the rears for the upper camber arm. If you got some spare change, for stiffening stuff, go with subframe spacers first. After that, I would go with the fender braces for the front. They make much more difference that a strut tower bar, but that would be next. Lastly, if you have a hatch, go with a rear STB, three point if you can afford it. That's my two cents. I got all those, but not in that order, or any order at all. Did it all at once on my 13, learned my lessons from my 14. Hope this helps.

here's the deal, I'm guessing from your name, you plan on drifting this thing. If that is true, and it's also true that you don't have a diff, I must say to bite the bullet and go ahead and save for the diff first. It is the most worthwhile investment for a drift car out there. Go for the things that matter first. All those suspension goodies will do jack crap in the short and long term for drifting unless you have someway of getting that diff to lock up. Don't waste your time. It's one of the most expensive things to set up on your ride, so it's best to get it out of the way. Since this is in the light, I would say forget all the suspension stuff first and get the diff, a good clutch and some track time. Only after some of the last item should you concern yourself with all the rest. As you drive your car and learn it, you will learn what you need to install next. Just an opinion, from someone who's already gone through this. Take it as you will.

The first cheep suspension mod I would do is subframe spacers, that made so much of a difference on my car
