Long story short, I rear-ended a guy. I am looking to get aftermarket fenders, bumper cover, and hood so I have that covered. The thing that bothers me is the damage to the core support and the driver side sheet metal. Is the damage so severe that I shouldn't even bother, or can a body shop graft in new parts without it costing an arm and leg?

stuff like that sucks

here is a pic of my car when i first got it - notice the small damage at the front of the fender by the light

the radiator support was just a tad tweaked, and nothing has lined up quite right ever since (hood fitment, fender, bumper, lights are all slightly off).

i guess it depends on how much you want to pay - a good shop could make it look pretty much new but it'd probably cost quite a bit

since the damage is close to the strut tower, it could possible be totalled, fixable, but totalled

Red means STOP. Oh yeah, fixable, but more than likely totaled and will cost an arm and a leg unless you have the hookup at a good bodyshop.

Yes, this is an S14. The damage never reached the strut tower. The fender took most of the damage. Anyone know how many panels are spot welded in that area?

In my experience with body work (worked in a shop helping my friend the owner for over 4 years), the shock tower is tweaked. Anytime you get any front end damage bad enough to distort the core, its going to tweak the tower.
