Check fuses and relays, and give more info, this is kind of vague.

Well I have gotten past the BUZZ
It was from beer I think haha

But now it is a new problem...I have a car with a ka24e to a ka24de swap, I have 2 car same swap and both have an idle problem, I have read that there are wires left over and what not but are any of these wires needed to be extended to somewhere or somthing just runs rough:duh:
I would love any advice even if it is from left field cuz I have tried ever thing!
:smash: :axe: :rl: Thanks for help in advance...

What wires are you talking about? Where? And what is the idle like? When did you do the swap? Sorry for the questions.

Wires in the harness by the ecu to the dash harness I geuss
And some in the engine bay behind battery box
Pretty much same place as sr harness needs to be cut thats my problem area I guess, but I have done many sr swaps no problems I just do not know everything about the sohc dohc cam swap i think I am missing something in wiring?
Just did swap?
And did one 2 months ago both run the same :duh:
thanks

With out seeing it. there is a plug under the fuse pannel, or by it that can be missed, Look real close under and arround it. As for the ecu harness, if you mached all the colors from one harness to the other in the splice, you've got it. double check you mached your colors and that you didnt miss any good luck. I will check you Wednessday.

Under fuse panel? In engine bay or driver side panel?
There is a small set of 4 wires that was plugged into the harness on sohc harness but is not on the dohc harness is that to be extended and tapped into ecu?
It is right dead center in pass. side floor on inside of firewall. Is this my problem, I didn't want to extend it if not needed you know.
Thanks for your help dude, need to fix so I can ride again.

did you get the dohc ecu? And there is a harness you need to splice to, that goes from the DOHC motor harness to the ecu to the wire harness in the dash to the gauge cluster. After you hook up the ecu there is a harness you have to splice to, to link to the dash harness, i will see if i can find the process and link it to you.I'm at work so it will be a bit.

Yeah did all that
still runs rough
Both cars are running the same and followed the link to a T
I have dohc swap engine trans ecu and harness wired up to the dash harness
And it idles like turd but runs strong not iacv checked already.
I have checked evry sensor and nothing
Should I hang myself and call it a day?:rl:
I think I may need to test every wire coming from the ecu to the engine and go from there I guess!:Owned:

What is the idle like? What is it doing exactly?

The only wire harness you may have to extend is the power stering harness, but I did'nt have to ,the DOHC harness had the longer harness on it, this is if you change the power stering lines dering the swap, ant way, I do'nt think it will interfear with idle

Well it will statr right up and run normal--holding a steady engine speed of about 1200 rpms, then at random times it will start to bog out and idle up and just not run well at all at idle. When I go for test rides it has plenty of power just idles like turd!

In my other car with same swap it has same type thing but when i accel it is horrible, no power just plain sucks. It is better at half throttle than at full throttle???
Everything is good tested all the sensors?
I have done 4-5 sr swaps and there tit
but these damn ka's kick my ass!:wackit:
be back in a minute!

I just(2 weeks ago) did the ka swap in an s13, The idle was rotten!!!! It would serge from 1000rpm's to 2500rpm's continuesly, we checked every thing, from cam placement, to AICV vacume leaks, MAF, plugwires, ect, it finally proved to be the throtel body, we changed that and she runs great.

this might sound dumb but on the stock intake pipe at the first bend near the tb theres a 1in diameter opening at the bottom for a stock resonator. when i did my conversion i forgot about it; leaving a big air leak. good luck

Yea, I had the stocker intake in my swap, I had to cap it off till I got my new AEM intake in.
