I have a SR. Its been rebuilt, just a couple thousand mile ago. I know oil pressure should be around 15psi. at 800rpms, after warmup, and no less than 11psi. Mine idles at 10 psi., and 50 @3000. This scares me a little bit. Im running syn. 10w-30 now.
Im wondering maybe it would help out if I switched to a 15w-40 or 20w-50???? Or maybe that would make too much pressure for seals, and bearings at high rpms???

thats pretty much where my oil pressure sits, 70psi or so on cold startup and then accelerrating, around 50 when accelerating warm, around 12 when idleing after warmup.

I read every thread with "oil" in the title, before I posted, so I shouldnt get flamed on this. I personally think 10psi. at idle seems low, for a fresh, low mile rebiuld. If it were 15-20, like from the factory, I would feel more comfortable.

Nobody wanted to reply to this, on 240sxforums, either........weird. I guess Ill just have to experiment with a thicker viscousity oil to see what happens.
