Well today I was changin out my rear brakes. Passenger rear went well. Got to the drivers side rear, did all the necessary stuff. Got onto the brake piston and tried to twist it back in to the caliper, and guess what it would not! So I kept at it and got piss and turned it counterclock-ise to bring the piston back out. Well I unscrewed it completely and the piston fell out off of the stud and Brake fluid dripped out. I rescrewed it back in but left the dust boot and piston oily. For some reason the piston screwed back in very easily. I did'nt care it stayed on so I put everything back and bled the brakes. Got the bubbles all out of the line and went for a test drive...Brake sucked balls! theres no real good pressure until like 80 percent pedal is pressed in! Anyone have any ideas??? I don't think the piston or caliper is screwed up or anything, maybe theres still a lot more air inside the lines. Any ideas? Going to try and bleed lines completely to see if pedal pressure is regained.
Damn nissans...gonna get me a honda and E-drift.

Probably just still air in the line. Is the caliper leaking any fluid, if not it should be fine.

I agree with the Alabama boy, If you can, clean the caliper good to see if it leaking, than BLEED, BLEED, BLEED!!! Keep us posted! good luck

Rear brake calipers break down all the time. Maybe yours need to be replaced.

Yeah i figured maybe just still a whole lot of air in the line..Gotta check sometime this week again...For now, just have to press pedals harder than usual. Thanks guys

You could have a leak in the system. You need to get it fixed ASAP. Check your fluid level. If it's slowly going down and the back of the wheel is wet, you're leaking.

Mine just started to act like this yesterday also, they were fine when I drove to work, but after work I went to stop and had to apply alot of pressure , and pedal was almost to the floor....and this happened one other time and we bled the brakes for seriously an hour. Ended up working fine and had great pressure, dont have to refill the brake fluid or anything.
