#5 I believe. I never used it, a shop gave it to me as collateral while they waited to get me a new S13 Red top ECU. Works. Guaranteeeed.

Give me an offer. Will also trade for an S13 Red Top ECU. Straight up.


(why does it sound better to say "an" S13 rather than "a" S13. S isn't a vowel?).

"s" is pronounced beginning with the letter e which IS a vowel . It's also correct to use "an" with words or pronunciations that sound like a vowel in the beginning of a word. =). Anyways...GL with your trade/swap/sale

Will the E5 work for s13 blacktop?
I paid someone on this forum $75 for a #65 ECU 14 days ago, but I have not got the part yet and have not heard from him.
So, I really need one but I really dont want to spend a lot of money AGAIN. I am running out of funds to finish this project.
How much do you want?

Make an offer, they go for about 150$ on ebay, but I'm not sure it runs on s13 black tops. According to this thread it will. It's from a 1996 Type-X s13, which is a blacktop motor.

that's an S13 blacktop ECU not S14.

Yeah unfortunately I cannot change the Thread Title, So, sorrry. I have since learned it's a black top Type X ECU. As mentioned earlier in the post. So, read.

uh type x ecu have a different code like 14 or something. It is just a basic blacktop s13 ecu which will work with redtop s13 as well. I had a type x ecu before and it wouldn't run with the harness and found out that the provider gave me the wrong ecu....anyways good luck and free bump ^^

Well I got like 30 different people telling me all kinds of "what an E5 is".

It's an E5. Whatever. I put it on my red top and it made it spit fire and lose boost. So I'm not using it.

Just lock this thread I'll throw it on ebay for all the trouble this is worth.
