for example on an 18x10 or 18x10.5, camber setup, tire size...etc...any relavent info

I want to see the lowest offset I can maybe go without having to do an extreme pull, but i will if i have to as long as it looks decent.

pix would be helpful.

sifting through the picture thread isnt an option :mrmeph:

17x9 +17 w/ 30mm spacer...you do the math
-2.4* camber
225/45/17...kumho MX is kinda fat though

I have too much rear camber though...plan on straightening that out when I can get it on a rack again...

It doesn't look like you have too much rear camber on that pic though.

And yeah, 225/45/17 Kumho MX is huge. It looks like 235/40s for most other brands.

I have 18x10.5 + 10 (+15 with a 5mm spacer) and 245/40s camber is just about 3.5 which sucks. I guess i'm a stupid then hahaha. I'd like to be at -2 in the rear, but I dont have ruca's yet. The pull is about an inch or so i guess. My friend and i did it with a fender roller and heat gun. It came out pretty nice i think.

i dunno if this pic will help, but its the best one i have right now. My car is lower now, but the specs i gave are current. This is just to give you an idea of what the pull looks like.

Work wheels have ridiculous amount of lip on them.

Why can't Rays offer that same feature and keep their price at where it is now? lol

I'm running the same wheels on an s13, those are easy to fit. I don't even think I needed a pull in back. Might get 15mm spacers for the rear. The front, however, is tight.

i have a pair of wheels (wheels for drag racing) with a -8 offset. that pretty low, but it not wide (7.5). He asked for the lowest not widest + lowest combo.

Can't get true placement of the wheel without width.

And he DID say 18x10 or 18x10.5 and lowest offset without a HUGE pull.

Ritz posted 18x10.5 +10 on his S14. Perfect.

And another guy with the black S14 with the Nismo LM-GT4s, 18x10.5 +10, also perfect.

So what's your problem with people posting "wide + low" combos? :wtf:

Reverse lip.... No steps in it. Appears bigger because there is actually a larger flat surface than a normal lip, even though the size is the same.

This isn't JUST for looks though, streching tyres on a Reverse lip wheel is CAKE! Compared to Dousan's TE37s which took 140(?)psi on the Cheeta to seat the bead, my wheels (Work Equip... also reverse lip like the Termist) require 40psi to seat the bead, obviously no Cheeta required...
Both our wheels are 18x10.5 and both the tyres in comparison are 245/40/18 Falken ST115.

Well, I was referring to like, Work wheels look to have more lip than Rays wheels of the same style.

Like, I guess I could take similar 5 spoke wheels and compare them from both companies.

Work Equip (like Termist) looks like it has a HUGE lip, even on 18x10 +10

Volk GT-C (or even SF Challenge since I've seen those first hand as well) in 18x10 +10 would look like it has less lip than Work wheels.

I wonder if it's because of the fact that the Work wheels' deep disks actually curve backwards (back into the back side of the wheel) to achieve that look, whereas Rays don't really do that with their disks?

Hmm.. well , I for one can say that my Equips have a lot LESS lip than more modern wheels b/c the center disk spokes do NOT curve, they are flat, and the wheel bolts together actually on the same plane as the spokes. THat's what i would consider "real" lip. But on wheels like Meister S1, since the spokes curve and all 3 piece bolt together well behind the spoke, it gives the illusion that the lip is actually deeper (between the spokes the lip is super deep, but measured from the same spot as my Equips, its actually not big!).

Get it?

That being said, i just think its Work's catering towards the more VIP/crazy crowd with the offsets they offer and the style of the wheels/lips. Rays/Volk has always been more "motorsports" oriented and their offsets/widths are slightly more limited. Work designs some wheels to be used with stretched tyres, and Rays obviously does not.

I would be curious to see how big my lip would look on 18x10.5 -10 Meister or VS-KF vs. my Equips!

Lindsey I still want your 9.5s for the rear of mine. give them too me!

VS-KF in 18x10.5 -12 with the O disk = 145mm lip = my dream wheels for the rear.

Along with either 17x9.5 +3 with A disk for 107mm of lip, or 17x9.5 -1 with R disk with 95mm of lip, but has to clear Z32 brakes for the front.

mmm mmmmmmmmmmmmmm!! :wackit: :rawk:  :yum:

PS - The Avenged Sevenfold's lead guitars just now ripped my face off (can't stand the singer's voice for that band but damn the music's badass)

Wheel design plays a huge part. I know what you mean about the Work S1 and "fake" lip. I had some AME Shallen 19x10 +43 (ugh) Slo and they still had 100mm of lip ha. Check out the RH wheels for some serious fake lip. Manufacturers have caught on the to the lip craze and are making wheels that look like they have big lip with weak offsets.

Well, that's the thing.

As long as there's lip, and bling, does it matter whether it's fake or real?

Do you consider the VS-KF's lip fake? The AME Shallen lip fake? Do these rims drop panties?

So yeah, who cares, as long as there's bling, and you like your own damn rims, that's all that matters :rawk:
