"Super Yellow" Halogen Bulbs (H4). Do you guys think they would look good with a H4 conversion housing on an S13? They are $34.99

Stock replacements or HID. Don't waste your money doing anything else to your lights.

I'd take the white's over the yellows. I always hated yellow headlights. Annoyed the crap outta me and would bring too much unwanted attention IMHO.

HID will be way cooler! But if I had to choose, I would take the white....but HID would be my main choice because they aren't as expensive as they used to be...

get yellow HIDs, hella bright...if you want function, lean towards yellow or more white; nothing over 5000K...if you want form, get 5000K and above; you wont see shit though...

personally i've experienced that those hyper white bulbs aren't as bright as you want them to be... they look tight but they're not that bright, i think actual hid's look sick and they're bright... i'd like to have some of those zenon lights for my late night mountain runs

For the headlights I'd get HIDs or just some bright bulbs. I'd leave the yellow look for fog lights.

The white's look intense especially on a Silvia front end.

Headlights or driving lights -- White in color
Fog Lights -- Yellow or white
Anything else looks cheap in my opinion. There are a few Civics around here that are running yellow headlight bulbs. They think it makes them JDM-L33T, I just laugh at them. If you'd like to be laughed at, go with the yellow for your headlights.
I haven't even bothered to look into the legality of yellow headlights, because I would not run them on my vehicle. Yellow fogs? Certainly I'll run yellow fogs, they cut through the fog better, therefore they are functional. They are not needed for the headlights though.

blue bulbs never turn out white.... and the blue reflection in the day time of the bulb look tacky imo... get stock replacement, sylvina silverstarts, or a HID kit 6000K and under....
the blue ones dont actually illuminate as much as a normal bulb rated the same, due to the color robbing coating on the bulb. it LOOKS brighter, but...its not.

When i bought the H4 conversion housing for my S13 it came with those "JDM Yellow" Luminics bulbs I put them on and i hated the fog light look. Went to Kragen and bought some sylvania silver stars, The difference is like Night and Day.

Well I've got the Canadian running lights, I have yellow 1156 bulbs in them. I thought about buying some projectors and retrofitting them into the flip-up lights, and putting HID's in them. My first 240 was a 95 and I did a 97 conversion to the front and had 5000K HID's in them. If I don't go this route, I think the blue blubs would work. They aren't "hyperwhite" lights, they are 4,350K so they are pretty much equivelant to sunlight, and I think they will be ok. We'll see what happens.

if you're leaning towards yellow lightbulbs.. check out Hella yellow bulbs! they're a nice shade of yellow that'll give you a unique look without getting pulled over by johnny law! i had them on my S14 and never got shit for 'em! these things were awesome in the dark and especially in the fog!

In cali "yellow" headlights are illegal. Word of advice.

also, just for reference those headlights are obviously relabeled for Password:JDM so more than likely they are the same as the Nokya lights as well as a few others.
But, yes in most states, especially Cali the yellow headlights are illegal and best suited for fog lights anyways.

They are a good color, but because they use a coating to filter out the natural yellowness of incandescent bulbs, they won't be as bright as standard bulbs.

well I'm in North Carolina, so rather they are legal are irrevelant. But, I think I might get the 4350K lights and keep my running lights yellow.

Thats my plan, some s2000 or bmw projectors in the H4 housings I got. will be nice when I get it done, goal for me is too keep full headlight movement, but actually be able to see at night. :rawk:

i dont know but i just dont think the bright whites belong on an older car, it just looks....awkward, a beat up car with "luxury" lights, but then this is just me.
i kinda like how the yellows look. although to me its how "jonny law" looks at um. i dont need 2 get pulled over for no good reason. if i had money id get some decent fogs.....

Seeing people drive with yellow lights out here in japan SUCKS. It is worse than HID's in your eyes and they suck for illumination. Plus, I think they are "illegal" to have in the U.S. (not like we all don't have illegal shit...just why pull more attention to yourself?)

i have 5100K H4's on my s13... not too bad, better than stock for sure. but im thinking of doing a sil face primarily to get some HID action going. i just cant get the spread/cutoff/output that i want with non-HID's. it gets dark in them mountains :|
