piston question

i am rebuilding my ka right now and wanted to get it boost ready. i was planning on putting the engine in the car before i put a turbo on it for money reasons. i was wondering what kind of performance 9:1 forged pistons would get on a na motor. it seems like it would slow it down some considering the lower compression and extra weight.

Why not go with a slightly lower comp. ratio? Are you planning on low or high boost aps?

I'm not positive, but i think you will have LESS power than stock, you will get bad gas mileage, and no fun to drive... but i dont see why it wont work untill you get the boost flowing.

i was only planning on around 10-12 psi when i get the turbo on. i thought higher comp. meant more power as long as it doesnt blow up.

It will make less power with 9:1 since it is lower then stock but will be able to handle more boost. 9:1 is what I would go with and I like CP pistons
