Lemme check my schedule. For sure i can't go this coming weekend -- got graduation and stuff.

The weekend after, maybe I'll be free, but I have to check my work schedule first, so I'll reply in a couple of hours about the date. I'm not home right now -- posting from my 3l33t phone answering job at my receptionist computer.

I'll post tonight by 10 PM.

And next time we go, I think I'll include more than one canyon. So it'll be something like... Meet at Fatburger.... goto Latigo.... get some drinks/snacks/rest at the gas station nearby... go to another canyon... have dinner somewhere... go home. something like that.

I just dont know if you guys would be up for canyon running the whole day... probably got shizit to do and stuff. But I for one am a lazy bum with no life, so I can practically live in the canyons with my 240sx like a schmuck and be happy with myself.

Let me know what you guys want to do -- Whole day/night or just one canyon, etc.... dinner? Lemme know, so I could plan it into the next meet.

June 8th sounds really good, but I have work that night. If it was on sunday, the 9th, would you still be able to stay out late? shit, people have work the next day.... hmmmm

What do you think about sunday? If it's no good, I'll just get a replacement and skip work on saturday.

Train of thought..... ch00 ch00!

Any Saturday should be fine. (June 8 or 15)
I don't mind going through any number of canyon roads.
Just make sure it happens before June 26 . . .

Orders for Japanese parts anyone? (need down payment first)

Are you looking for a Goto Maki or maybe the Fukada Kyoko type?
If you aren't into the young idol type, maybe a more mature Matsu Takako type might be good.

Let me know.

"Racing"? I don't think anyone's RACING.... just some spirited driving.

What say we have a meet some time in mid June? I'm thinking around the 15th or 16th... I'll be back around then, and am anxious to test out my new Dunlop FM-901s!

Let me know when you guys think a good time in August is.

com'on come run in PV, it's shorter and less likely to have people fall off

MrMigs
06-02-2002, 09:26 PM
Sorry Jeremy, you're a weakling. Hahah, just playin', sucka.

But no, seriously.... PV is gay. haha jus. playin.... let's go there next time around... we already have a set route and shit for Latigo.

And for uhh N1sM0, or something... whoever said something about racing... I guess it's possible to race... sort of, but there's no room for passing, and it's pretty dangerous because occasionally, there's opposite traffic.

Dun worry though, it will be fun.

I'm still taking orders for Japan.
I can get you anything (there is a limit to this word) as long as you are willing to pay shipping for large items that can't be carried on.
Steering wheel, shift knobs, pedals, and other interior and exterior face lifts are really cheap. (20-50% off US prices)
Used wheels are really cheap. I can get you very rare Nismo wheels on auction. GT-R wheels are plentiful too.

E-mail me for more info: [email protected]

I dont know if you're talking about PV or Latiago Canyon but depending on the time you go to Ortega passing is possible thanks to the way the roads laid out, giving you a really good heads up on cars coming. Yea but as far as "racing" we do more of a chase type thing with one car trying to put as much distance on the guy behind him.

MrMigs
06-03-2002, 03:01 PM
Yea, chasing is pretty much all you can do in latigo. There's a lot of blind turns too. But the road is really windey, so it's coo.

well, for me, it's not the hotness (though, it should be a concern, due to my WAY TOO FUCKIN HOT bay temp), it's more like, to avoid the crowd, as well as for it not to conflict w/ the sheduel of my work

Also as a side note, for those who didnt know already, there's a Fatburger in the same plaza as Ralphs, and you'll have some time to get some ph00d before the run. Thats what imma do, anyways...

still thinking about additional canyons near latigo.

sohijiro
06-06-2002, 08:09 AM
i cant believe you idiots are actually talking about racing online, why dont you just walk up to a cop and tell him to pull you over for racing, its so fucking stupid to talk about race times and locations on the internet. first off youll get wannabes showin up at your favorite spots, and cops are going to eventually start watching the roads,. be smart and get their phone numbers or email, and set up races privately. i cant believe people would be so stupid, its ruining it for all us other drivers.

MrMigs
06-06-2002, 12:52 PM
Why dont you shut the hell up, biotch. We're not going to be full-out racing.

MrMigs
06-06-2002, 12:56 PM
Plus, there are clubs, both motorcycle and car ones that go to latigo canyon for cruises. and there are cops too who understand that we're not racing, just cruising.

And it's not like we're ruining anything. There are already a couple of websites who talk about canyons in the area, routes, and all that type of stuff -- and they do it freely too. It's not a big secret or anything.

Last time we went, we passed by several cruisers who didnt do anything to us, because what we are doing is typical in that area. Latigo is known for having experienced clubs... cops know that the real dumbasses are the guys who canyon race near the highschools in the area.

[email protected] You, damn moron. Mind your own freakin business. Not that many people go over there in the first place. There are other spots that are better than that and are the ones that everyone goes to. Those I keep to myself...

so "F" off!

MikeFD3S
06-07-2002, 10:54 PM
Sohijiro, everyone has a right to drive whatever road they want. For this cruise, and past daytime cruises, all information was posted publically. Why? Because It is simply a cruise... every cruise, we re-iterate that it is not a race. Safety and organization has always been top priority. No ones going to be passing, no ones going to be drifting, no ones going to be reckless. We're not doing anything illegal, so we have nothing to hide.

It's not ruining 'it' for anyone. If we were posting 'cmon everyone lets do a major drift session at XXX location, during rush hour traffic' then yeah, you should be concerned. This clearly is not the case here.

Other than that, I think you're getting all riled up over nothing.

To sum it all up

Our publically posted cruise = organized+safe = legal. If you reread all the posts about the cruise, there would be no reason to assume that this is going to be some kind of dangerous gumball rally event on public roads. Car clubs have been organizing cruises way before most of us were even born. Some angry kids who's touge spot is getting clogged with ricers is'nt gonna stop car clubs from cruising.
